00:00 I'm Jill Painter Lopez of Sports Illustrated here with Melissa Rowland.
00:08 And Melissa, today marks four years ago that Kobe Bryant played in his last game with the
00:14 Lakers, the 60-point memorable and emotional game.
00:17 It will be re-aired on ESPN tonight.
00:20 What will you take away from watching that game again tonight?
00:23 Jill, it's really hard to believe that that was four years ago.
00:26 It feels like it's yesterday in terms of everybody remembers exactly where they were when Kobe
00:31 dropped 60 points in his final game.
00:34 It was just another spectacular moment in his 20-season career.
00:37 It was the perfect way for him to cap off his Hall of Fame career.
00:40 Obviously, Kobe was a five-time NBA champion with the Lakers, a two-time finals MVP, and
00:45 a one-time regular season MVP in 2008.
00:49 It's funny because throughout his entire career, people criticized him for not passing enough.
00:53 And in that final game, his teammates encouraged him to take as many shots as he possibly could.
00:58 He shot the ball 50 times.
01:01 It was just one of those spectacular performances that will go down in history as yet another
01:06 one of Kobe's spectacular games.
