37-year-old David Etzel was picking on his mother’s Shih Tzu, Cujo, when the dog nipped him.
Etzel responded by not only biting the dog but also by choking the small animal until an eye dislodged from the socket.
Veterinarians were able to put Cujo’s eye back, but noted the injuries sustained by the dog were comparable to those resulting from a car accident.
