Mexico: Green Party Fined for Violating Campaign Rules

Mexico's Green Ecologist Party (PVEM) has been slapped with a new series of fines for violating campaign regulations, this time for distributing school supplies with the party's logo and slogans. In the past few weeks the PVEM, which is closely allied with the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party and widely viewed as a family business with little connection to environmental issues, has been subject to ten fines totaling US$12 million.
