The instructional segment was made in conjunction with Sports Illustrated and as a nod to its 50th Swimsuit Edition features bikini-clad models.

They run through the plane’s safety features and protocols while enjoying the sun and fun to be had on the Cook Islands.
Since its February premier, the piece has attracted a great deal of criticism for reinforcing the idea that women are little more than sexualized objects.
A feminist commentator slammed the video in the Sydney Morning Herald saying, "It seems that suddenly they are saying that my sexuality is all that matters about me."
Many people took to social media to express similar feelings.
Some did praise Air New Zealand for how well it promoted the islands and said it was a highly successful marketing tool.
A spokesperson for the airline said that the decision to stop showing the safety tutorial on its planes had nothing to do with the public’s negative response.
Rather, the segments run for a limited time and the planned duration for the Safety in Paradise feature had simply come to the end.
