Man Drives Stolen Car to Jail

It's not easy for criminals to get rid of their past behaviors.

One man in Ontario didn’t thoroughly plan out his aspiration for becoming a law abiding citizen.

Jorden Morin had previously agreed to serve a 60-day jail sentence for an assault intermittently, rather than remaining in prison for two months straight. Thinking it would be more convenient, he opted to settle for weekend time behind bars.

Well, on May 10th, Morin was en route to jail to serve a portion of his time, but he was driving a stolen car. He was stopped by police prior to arriving at the facility.

Morin blamed it all on his choice to take the weekend sentencing, as he didn’t have transportation to get to jail. He stated “I thought it was a good idea at the time. I shouldn’t have taken that. It was added stress on me. I made the wrong choice.”

He recently landed in court for that offense and was sentenced to an additional 10 months in jail for stealing the car.
