00:00According to the West of England Combined Authority, around 20 million passengers use
00:08the railway stations in and out of the region each year. But what are locals' experiences
00:14of train services?
00:15Yeah, I use the trains, but I'm not a big fan of them, to be honest. Yeah, so I go climbing
00:21near Temple Mead, so I get the train about three times a week, but it's so annoying because
00:26they're always late, sometimes they get cancelled, and yeah, I just wish they were a lot better
00:31like in other countries.
00:32Not for a long time. Personally, I find them too noisy, just general public behaviour on
00:40transport. And again, they're very unreliable.
00:44Yes, I do use trains, but I use trains mainly to go and see my parents in East Anglia. It's
00:51mixed, to be honest. Sometimes they work okay.
00:56Definitely, yeah, because I heard they're trying to like nationalise the train lines
01:00and things. So I think if it was all connected, then it would make like getting back home
01:03a lot easier. And it'd be nice if they were a lot more reliable.
01:08The transformation of Bristol's Temple Meads continues through a variety of projects that
01:13makes up the Bristol Rail Regeneration Programme and the city's Temple Quarter Regeneration
01:19Programme. But what station in the city do Bristol locals use the most?
01:26What train stations do you use most regularly in the city?
01:29In Bristol, I use Clifton Down, Redland and sort of Temple Meads the most, get back to
01:35the city and get like back home.
01:36Yeah, Temple Meads as a station is absolutely fine. It's less commercial than most stations
01:43around, but I don't mind that. You know, I don't want to go shopping, particularly when
01:47I go to the station.
01:50And what train stations kind of have you used most regularly?
01:55Probably Clifton Down and Temple Meads, yeah.
