FSV Eagles Mon April 23 Baby Fighting For Its Life To Stay Warm

Tuesday, April 3, 2013. It's 9:30 am in Platteville Colorado. Three weeks into the life of this young eaglet, it struggles to find warmth under the parent eagle. This is a time when one can almost watch the baby grow day by day. It has already reach a size that makes it difficult if not impossible for one adult to completely cover the eaglet. A snow storm the week prior took the lives of the other two that hatched in this nest. Now alone and freezing in the 19 degree cold and snow, the young eagle fights for its life.
