A Christmas Song - performed by: Gary Alexander

The song is supposed to be a duet, going back and forth between a person who is poor, that has never experienced the joys of Christmas, and a person who wants so badly for that person to understand and to experience the joys of Christmas as well. I didn't have anyone around to sing the other part, which was written in a female's key, so I did both parts myself. This could cause you to miss the meaning of the song. In case you didn't understand the lyrics, here they are...

Vocal 1: I'm wishing on a star
And trying to believe
That even though it's far
He'll find me Christmas Eve

I guess that Santa's busy
He's never come around
I think of him
When Christmas Comes to Town

Vocal 2: The best time of the year
When everyone comes home
With all this Christmas cheer
It's hard to be alone

Putting up the Christmas tree
With friends who come around
It's so much fun
When Christmas Comes to Town

Vocal 2: Presents for the children
Wrapped in red and green

Vocal 1: All the things I've heard about
But never really seen

Voc 1 &2: No one will be sleeping on
The night of Christmas Eve
Hoping Santa's on his way

Vocal 2: When Santa's sleigh bells ring
Vocal 1: I listen all around
Vocal 2: When herald angels sing
Vocal 1: I never hear a sound

Voc 2: When all the dreams of children
Voc 1: Once lost will all be found

Voc 1 &2: That's all I want
When Christmas Comes to Town
