Recipe to prepare "Aloo Pakoda/Bhajia", a delicious snack:

Ingredients:
1. potato - 2
2. cooking/refined oil - ample quantity to deep fry
3. bengal gram flour/besan - 2 cups
4. salt - to taste
5. carom seeds/ajwain - 1/2 teaspoon
6. red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
7. crushed dry-fenugreek leaves/kasoori methi - 1/2 teaspoon
8. water - 1/2 cup
9. cooking soda (optional) - 1 pinch

Procedure:
1. peel and cut potatoes into thin slices
2. take 2 cups of gram flour in a bowl
3. add these:
a. little salt
b. 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds/ajwain
c. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
d. 1/2 teaspoon crushed dry-fenugreek leaves/kasoori methi
4. mix well, add a pinch of cooking soda and little water to get a thick batter
5. dip potato slices in the batter and coat properly
6. heat ample refined oil in a pan on medium flame
7. add and deep-fry the coated potato slices
8. flip from both the sides, and fry until brown
9. remove in a plate, and serve with sauce/chutney
