There are many ways to break into a building.

One man in Houston decided to cut a hole in the roof of a cell phone store as a way to gain entry.

Using a rope to slide down, he got into the shop, filling his pockets and carrying as many mobile phones as his hands would allow. According to the store owner, more than 40 smartphones were stolen with an average value of $650 each.

The burglar tried to climb back up the rope to get out, but it broke, causing him to fall to the floor so he used a stool to prop himself back up. He managed to get away but the whole incident was caught on surveillance footage.

Earlier this year, another thief in Texas broke into a convenience store through a similar entry point. Store footage showed a man climbing through the building’s air conditioning vent which was in the roof.

Once inside, he filled a shopping bag with cigarettes and then escaped by breaking a front window.
