GINGER THOMPSON - COVER YOU (BalconyTV)

Born in Washington State, Ginger Thompson first picked up a guitar when she was 14 or so. She used it to make pingy noises in the background of the "Positive Negatives" rap tracks. She traveled the world for 4 years with a christian touring/musical theater group sharpening performance skills first with guitar and then she started singing around the age of 18. Ginger relocated to Austin in 2001 and abandoned her passion for various 9-5 desk jobs. She offers: "NEVER abandon your passion!" She reemerged in the music scene during 2009's SXSW festival while playing unofficial shows and after two years of steady playing in the Central Texas area, she will be releasing her first independent EP in Feb 2011.
