Moody looks to beat Australia again

Lewis Moody has demanded England prove their victory over Australia in Sydney was not a one-off by retaining the Cook Cup at Twickenham.

England's 21-20 triumph at the Olympic Stadium was only their third over the Wallabies on Australian soil and it secured a share of the spoils from the two Test series.

Moody had hoped it would act as a springboard for the autumn campaign but England made too many familiar mistakes in last weekend's 26-16 defeat to New Zealand.

Martin Johnson's men were too slow out of the blocks and only started threatening after the All Blacks had raced into a 14-0 lead. Even then, England's finishing cost them dear.

But England lost to the Wallabies in Perth in a similarly frustrating manner before turning things around to win in Sydney - and Moody wants a repeat performance on Saturday.

"We need to show we are a quality side," he said.

"We are very excited about this game because we realise we had an opportunity to beat the number one side in the world but we missed it because of a lack of composure.

"We were in the game to win it and the second half showed everyone the ability we have as a side. Our aim is to keep getting better. We realise we are a team that has to keep improving."
