00:00The statement from the Prime Minister and the leaders of France and Germany just underlines
00:04how concerned we are about the risks of escalation in the region. We're making a strong statement of
00:09the need for calm in the region and to Iran in particular not to escalate the situation.
00:14This is incredibly distressing the scenes that have come from Gaza over the course of the weekend.
00:18No children should be dying. It just underlines our determination to have an immediate ceasefire
00:25and we have been calling on all sides, including the Israelis, to make sure that children are not
00:29caught up in this devastating violence. There have been important efforts including by the
00:34US President, the leaders of Egypt and Qatar. There is still a deal on the table and we're
00:39urging all sides to show flexibility and reach for it. Events over the last few weeks have
00:43demonstrated just how devastating it is not to have the immediate ceasefire that
00:48we have been calling for since we became the government.
