Elle Macpherson denies taking rhino horn medicine

Supermodel Elle Macpherson has denied trying banned medicine made from rhino horn.

The Britain's Next Top Model presenter was asked in an interview on Twitter about her interest in Chinese medicine, and what powdered rhino horn tasted like.

Macpherson replied that it tasted like crushed bone and fungus in a capsule, but that it "does the job."

The model and entrepreneur has now denied ever taking the medicine, saying: "I flippantly answered [the question], implying that I had tried it. In fact I have never tried rhino horn."

Known as The Body, Macpherson said she was against the use of the endangered species' horn in medicine: "The whole concept is unacceptable to me."
