01:08In Venezuela, a new flight carrying repatriate migrants arrived at the Simon Bolivar International

01:13Airport in Maiketia, in the state of La Guaida, through the Back to the Homeland government

01:17plan.

01:18The flight arriving from Mexico was received by the Venezuelan Minister of Interior Relations

01:23Justice and Peace Giselle Cabello, who welcomed the 313 people, among them 151 children, 102

01:31women and 60 men.

01:33In this context, Cabello emphasized that different security and child protection agencies, as

01:39well as medical agencies, were present at the airport.

01:42The flight is part of the government's commitment to the safe return of nationals in the massive

01:49deportations campaign being carried out by the U.S. administration of Donald Trump.

01:56Likewise, the Minister of Interior Relations Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Giselle Cabello,

02:05highlighted that this flight, when 1,610 Venezuelans arrived, had already returned to the country

02:14under the Return to the Homeland plan.

02:20It is a flight that, with this one, 1,610 Venezuelans have been transferred from the

02:26United States, because those who are in Mexico are not really in Mexico.

02:31They return from the United States to Mexico and we have been doing that work and we hope

02:36to see the regularization.

08:28Following U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff measures, strike markers around the world

08:33plummeted.

08:34In Europe, the Milan Stock Exchange fell by 2.84%, followed by the Frankfurt Stock Exchange,

08:43with more than 2.77 percentage points, while the Paris Stock Exchange fell by as much as

08:502.14%.

08:51Meanwhile, in Asia, the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell by as much as 2.77%, while in Hong Kong

09:00it lost 1.69% of its value.

09:04Experts estimate a possible increase of at least 3% in global inflation, in addition

09:10to fueling the uncertainty in the international economy.

09:15Trump decides to impose tariffs of at least 10% on all countries and a higher percentage

09:21on partner countries, declaring a trade war on the world with higher import taxes in the

09:26century.

09:29The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, dedicated a few minutes in the middle of an

09:37agenda that prioritizes the growth of the country and the rescue of Venezuelan migrants

09:42persecuted by the regional extremists, to refer to the newly announced U.S. tariffs.

09:47In this regard, the head of state assured that Washington has declared economic war

09:51on the world with the help of Anna Allen, in the specific case of the Bolivarian nation

09:57and of extreme right-wing leader María Corina Machado.

10:01He denounced how those radical sectors promote foreign punishment and damages against Venezuela.

10:09In this context, the president emphasized that while some impose or promote sanctions

10:15against the country, the government's economic plan for the threatening of production, supply

10:21and export in different sectors is moving forward.

10:27On Thursday, during her morning press conference, the Mexican president, Claudia Sheinbaum,

10:36welcomed the exclusion of her country from the new set of U.S. tariffs imposed on several

10:42countries.

10:43Sheinbaum highlighted good relations her nation has built with the government of the U.S.,

10:48which she stressed is based on respect for their people and their national sovereignty,

10:55which she states allow for Mexico to avoid additional tariffs.

10:59It is worth recalling that President Trump has previously introduced a 25 percent tax

11:05on Mexico's exports, but explained that Mexico will not have to pay tariffs on goods

11:10included in the United States-Mexico-Canada agreement, the T-MEC.

11:15In this regard, Mexican Secretary of Commerce Marcelo Ebrard added the country will ask

11:21for better conditions for aluminum and steel.

11:34In the case of Mexico, there are no additional tariffs, nor for Canada, although in the case

11:48of Canada they make some specifications.

11:54And that is good for the country, for Mexico, although some do not want to recognize it.

12:28are not compliant with the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement on free trade.

12:34Announcing that the government of Canada will be responding by matching the U.S. approach,

12:41with 25 percent tariffs on all vehicles imported from the United States that are not compliant

12:47with CUSMA, our North American Free Trade Agreement, and on the non-Canadian content

12:55of CUSMA-compliant vehicles from the United States as well.

12:59Our tariffs, though, unlike the U.S. tariffs, will not affect auto parts, because we know

13:05the benefits of our integrated production system.

13:10And they will also not affect vehicle content from Mexico, who is respecting the CUSMA agreement.

13:15In these contexts, on Thursday the government of Spain unveiled its plan to implement a

13:2015.6 billion dollar suspending package to mitigate the negative effects of the newly

13:26imposed U.S. tariff.

13:29We are going to deploy our plan that we have called the Trade Response and Relaunch Plan,

13:34designed to mitigate the negative impacts of this trade war initiated by the Trump administration

13:39and weave a shield to protect our economy, so that if the storm is unleashed, Spain will

13:46have a double umbrella, the European umbrella and the Spanish umbrella.

13:53This plan is going to mobilize a total of 14.1 billion euros.

14:01For his part, Irish Premier Michael Martin underscored the unjustified nature of the

14:06new tariffs, touching on their negative impact, on the people vowing to reflect on a response

14:13to the measures together with the European Union partners.

14:19I deeply regret the United States' decision to impose 20% tariffs on imports from across

14:26the European Union.

14:28We see no justification for this.

14:31More than 4.2 billion worth of goods and services are traded between the European Union and

14:36the U.S. daily.

14:39Disrupting this deeply integrated relationship with tariffs and increased protectionism benefits

14:46no one.

14:48Tariffs drive inflation, hurting people on both sides of the Atlantic, and they put jobs

14:54at risk.

15:01It is important that our response is considered and measured.

15:08On Thursday, China urged the United States to immediately cancel the tariff measures

15:13imposed against it and warns of a forceful response in defense of the country's interests.

15:20Throughout communiqué, the Minister of Commerce denounced that the Trump administration's

15:24measures violate international trade rules and seriously harm the legitimate rights and

15:30interests of the parties involved.

15:32Beijing demanded the repeal of the unilateral measures and to choose the diplomatic path

15:41The Chinese office assured that its partners in the U.S. have expressed deep concern and

15:47strong dissatisfaction.

15:50President Donald Trump, as he did in his first term, imposed a 54% tariff on products from

15:58China.

16:07In this context, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson, He Jiadong, assured these measures

16:17hindered the production and supply chain between the United States and other regions and called

16:23on the Western government to jointly resolve concerns through dialogue.

16:28The U.S. measures artificially sever the production and supply chains between the

16:35U.S. and other regions.

16:37This neither contributes to the so-called national security nor helps the U.S. domestic

16:42industry.

16:43It will only highlight the unilateralism, protectionism and bullying nature of the U.S.

16:48measures.

16:50The Economic and Trade Departments of China and the U.S. have been maintaining communication.

16:56China is willing to exchange views with the U.S. on important issues in the economic and

17:00trade fields of the two countries and resolve their respective concerns through equal dialogue

17:05and consultation.
