00:00Who's this?
00:02Is this legit or is this money laundering? No one wants it, which is really quite sad.
00:08Nike Town, boarded up, gone.
00:12Painful, unplanned, not worth your time.
00:16Now, that's how some people want to describe my videos,
00:18but it's also how a lot of people describe Oxford Street here in London.
00:22Yes, Oxford Street is one of the most popular, if not the number one shopping area in all of the UK,
00:29argue it out in the comments. But yes, it's a very famous road, whack up a map,
00:33where are we in the world? And I did this video about ten months ago now,
00:37where I look to see what shops were open, what weren't, what's going on?
00:41As it's almost been a year-ish, give or take a few weeks,
00:44let's go and see what state Oxford Street is in.
00:47There have been a lot of new developments on Oxford Street,
00:49and as I look across the road here by Marble Arch, oh, mind the traffic, mind the traffic,
00:53we have an art gallery. Yes, I think it's called MoCo, MoCo.
00:59And I think it's about £20, £25, but yeah, an art gallery on Oxford Street.
01:04Who'd have thought, eh? But look, beautiful blue sky, guys.
01:06Spring is on the way.
01:09And as I walk down from Marble Arch down to Tottenham Court Road.
01:12Yes, guys, if you're new to my channel, I'm Hannah, I live in London,
01:15and at the moment I'm trying to do two videos a week, every Tuesday and Friday.
01:20And yeah, lots of things to do in the city.
01:22All while hopefully not getting my phone or camera snatched.
01:29I always think that footlocker needs a flippin' good window clean,
01:32always looks like it needs a scrub.
01:34But there's also something else that's happened down here.
01:37Does anyone remember this?
01:38Yes, one of the old top shops.
01:40Oh, my God, R.I.P.
01:41Then it became this jazz band selling, like, fakes that no one seemed to worry about.
01:46It eventually got closed down for being dodgy.
01:48And yeah, it's going to be a cafe concerto.
01:51It's also going to be one of my points today,
01:52that even though, yes, this is a shopping district,
01:54there are a lot of new food places.
01:56And I did a video a while ago on Westfield in White City.
01:59Yeah, food is kind of where it's at.
02:01And people want to go out.
02:02They might not necessarily want to buy a new top or a new pair of trainers,
02:05but they want to come out maybe with their mates or solo friends.
02:08And yeah, get yourself some grub.
02:11Now, as I scoot down Oxford Street, it is going under a billion pound
02:14redevelopment across a few different sites, which I touched on before.
02:19But the mayor himself, not out of his own pocket,
02:21but he is spending 150 million pounds on part pedestrianising Oxford Street.
02:27Not sure how that's going to go.
02:29But where are all the buses going to go?
02:31Where are all the taxis going to go?
02:32I don't know about that.
02:34Look, I like to walk around London, don't get me wrong,
02:36but the traffic has got to go somewhere, right?
02:39You can't just drive down Oxford Street these days.
02:41You do have to have a certain type of vehicle.
02:44Yeah, so we'll see how that goes ahead.
02:46Also, there are a lot more of these kind of toy shops opening up.
02:51It's kind of like Japanese toy stores that are opening.
02:55I don't know. Are you a fan?
02:56I'm going to keep an eye on them.
02:58I have my thoughts about it.
02:59And yeah, another unit.
03:00Not sure what that's going to be.
03:02Lots of change already.
03:03Gosh, that building is pretty ugly, though, right?
03:05The irony that that one is not being knocked down.
03:08More on that in a minute.
03:09Primark looking a little bit quiet, actually, this afternoon.
03:12I think it's about half past two, three o'clock now.
03:15I bet it is very busy down by Tottenham Court Road.
03:17I do find that it's a much busier end of Oxford Street these days.
03:21I didn't realize that at Primark,
03:24they used to have a little bit of a cafe behind the sound things, a doughnut bar.
03:27Oh, see, people need a bit of grub.
03:29That used to be.
03:32Trying to film here, people.
03:34That used to be.
03:35What was it? New look with the steps that went upright
03:37and then it changed to something else.
03:39What was next door? Was that accessorize or monsoon?
03:43Those have been empty for years.
03:45Very bizarre.
03:46We're just on the corner of TK Maxx, where I think I've vlogged out
03:49the other week for you guys.
03:50What was this? Was it links of London?
03:52This unit on the corner has it was empty, honestly, for years.
03:55But now it's a build a bear, which is lovely to see.
03:57And I quite like the little green bits.
03:59A little bit of a try, aren't they?
04:01And this is called Park House.
04:02It's a very fancy, shiny building.
04:04Offices above and obviously shops below.
04:07Gosh, there's so many National Expresses.
04:09Everyone is getting the heck out of London.
04:11Don't blame them, to be fair.
04:12But this has got some big changes.
04:15And it's actually been reported that Zara, I think it's Pandora,
04:19River Island and Bershka are all leaving Park House.
04:22So along the bottom there.
04:24I mean, they're pretty nice stores, but I don't know.
04:26It's been a bit of a weird block here, but they are technically flagship stores
04:31for those retailers.
04:32Yes, they said going forward, we need to reconfigure the retail space
04:35to meet the needs of current and future tenants.
04:39Yeah, maybe. I don't know.
04:41Oh, side note.
04:42How nice is that jacket?
04:43That's well nice.
04:45Side note, if you do want to live above Primark,
04:47it'll cost you quite a few million.
04:50And opposite that E.E.
04:51store has been gone for a long time.
04:54I always feel a bit bad for June.
04:56They're a bit left up here with Rue Avenue.
04:57Guys, on a positive note, it's not all doom and gloom.
04:59Don't you worry, people.
05:00Wizards and spells.
05:01There are a lot more of these types of magical stores all over London now,
05:05obviously appealing to the tourists.
05:07There is Candy Logo, best in candy.
05:10It's not an American candy store, but I don't know.
05:14Is this legit or is this money laundering?
05:17Comment below.
05:18I don't know.
05:20Before everyone gets offended, any time I mention the candy stores,
05:22people are like, what's wrong with American candy?
05:24No, you don't get it, guys.
05:25These stores are empty and they are just shop fronts,
05:28quite literally, and addresses for money laundering.
05:30Have a Google.
05:31But the mayor himself has said that over the last year and a half,
05:36it took him a while to get started.
05:37They have been going down Oxford Street and quite a few areas in London
05:40to close down the candy stores.
05:42So I'm glad that finally they're doing something.
05:44I don't know if that one is that one.
05:45I may have mentioned it in a previous video, but it's always, always empty.
05:50Bit sus, right?
05:51I mean, all of these little touristy stores are, I don't know, very odd indeed.
05:55But Marks and Spencers, I'm going to have to mention it.
05:57Look at this building here at Marble Arch.
06:00Bit of art deco.
06:01But yes, back in 2024, they got the green light to knock it down.
06:06I've said before, say it again.
06:08It's going to be a modern building.
06:09Three o'clock.
06:10Three o'clock on the dot and the sky is out.
06:13But yes, we have Selfridges, very bougie, very nice.
06:16Now, another big question I always get when I do these shopping videos
06:19is where do you park your car?
06:21I mean, there's nowhere to park.
06:23And obviously they want you to get public transport.
06:25I don't mind getting the bus, I don't mind getting the train.
06:27But yeah, and you can't drive down Oxford Street anymore.
06:31I'm trying to get it in shot.
06:33With that little blue sign, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
06:36You must be a taxi, a black cab, a bus or a bike.
06:41Yeah, so you probably want to get the train in.
06:43But as we go along this part, opposite Selfridges, you have got
06:46the more bougier, fancier stores, all the different jewellery stores,
06:50even a Dyson store.
06:52And yeah, quite a few watch retailers, actually.
06:54I don't wear a watch, but hey, let's say what time is it?
06:59It is time that you gave this video a thumbs up.
07:01I'm sorry. Can you? Thank you.
07:04Yes, all the black cabbies in the taxi rank for Selfridges.
07:07Oh, I'm so pleased the sun is coming out.
07:24Parked on the Ziggy Zaggy's.
07:26But yeah, the pedal cabs, is that what they're calling them?
07:29They are like trying to make them illegal.
07:32I don't know. I think they're really dangerous.
07:33But come in the evening and this will be absolutely full.
07:36I think Selfridges have tried to do what they can to get rid of them.
07:38But yeah, do be careful if you're coming to London.
07:40They will rip you off.
07:42Also, I find like whenever I film these videos,
07:44there's always like rubbish bags all by the bins where it's like bin collection.
07:48But as you can see, I'm going to be honest, it looks pretty clean around here.
07:52I don't know if it's like when I film some of the videos,
07:54it tends to be bin day and all the bins are out and it looks proper manky.
07:57It's not always like that, I promise.
07:58Who's this?
08:00Another casualty, I think, of Oxford Street.
08:02You know what? I can't even remember what was here.
08:06Can someone remind me? I don't know.
08:08But yeah, they have been doing this building work for a long time.
08:11And I guess they're trying to do something.
08:12Yeah, it ends up just being a bit patchworky down here with the closures.
08:16That boss store is massive.
08:18Oh, yeah, they're all coming out at the end of the day.
08:22Oh, gosh. Do be careful, guys, if you do go on them.
08:24But this big whopper up here,
08:26that used to be a big whopper.
08:29That used to be Gap, didn't it?
08:31Massive Gap store.
08:33And that has been empty for years, I would say, confidence.
08:37I think that's probably almost been closed for about eight or nine years.
08:41Retail opportunity.
08:43I guess no one wants it, which is really quite sad.
08:46But what people do want is coffee.
08:47I think this is called Half M or Half Million Coffee Shop.
08:50Every time I walk past here, it is proper busy.
08:52I don't know if I've just come at like a really weird time of the day.
08:54But hey, yeah, Half Million Coffee Shop, always busy.
08:58But not when I'm filming this.
09:00But trust me, I mean, that's a proper shot of what Oxford Street is.
09:04That empty, massive retail shop.
09:06Someone selling some fake bags.
09:09They are fake. Don't care what anyone says.
09:10A massive crane or something going on.
09:12A bus passing by.
09:14Hold your breath. Breathe in.
09:16And then a really posh Reece store in the background.
09:18I think that's where their head office is.
09:20Yeah, what a mishmash.
09:22Ah, Pandora is moving there.
09:29That was the Body Shop store.
09:31That's a really good location, actually.
09:32I'm sure that would be fabulous.
09:34And then, yeah, you've got another little thing there for Greek food.
09:39I personally think that there is food missing on Oxford Street still.
09:42I personally think that Park House probably should put a bunch of food in,
09:45but I don't know what the rules are with the retail space.
09:47Also, you know, obviously putting a kitchen and everything in.
09:50Yeah, you don't have I know I'm coming up to Bond Street now.
09:52I don't think there are that many places to eat, really, to be honest.
09:55And as we are almost opposite Bond Street, what was that?
09:58That was H&M.
09:59Then it was Forever 21.
10:01I feel like Forever 21 just did not work here in the UK.
10:05Super dry.
10:06How on earth are those still in business?
10:07I do not know.
10:08I would say look up.
10:09I mean, look at that on top of the Intimacy.
10:12I think I say that right, building.
10:14How nice is that?
10:15And then above the Aldo.
10:16I love the London architecture and where Forever 21 was.
10:21I wonder if the camera does it justice.
10:22I don't know.
10:23It's just a street level.
10:24It looks a bit pants, doesn't it sometimes?
10:28Anyway, there are so many Holland and Barrett stores now in London.
10:31Are they still having a penny sale?
10:33I don't know.
10:33But yeah, everything's way more money in Holland and Barrett,
10:35so they can probably afford the rent.
10:37Oh, my God, this is really hard to film.
10:41Bond Street station.
10:42I feel like this area, if you've only ever been here, do not judge London on it.
10:45It is a bit horrendous.
10:46And on the corner of Superdry, I always think this, was it Stratford Place?
10:51I think it was closed off for a while.
10:52Look at those beautiful buildings down the end.
10:54It's such a contrast.
10:56Gosh, the noise levels go up and down along here, don't they?
10:58Goodness me.
10:59There you go, an ice cream.
11:00Mr. Whippy with a flake, £3.50.
11:02I think that's about normal now.
11:03Oh, what's this camera doing?
11:04Oh, oh, there we go.
11:06Flippin' heck.
11:07Right, on South Malton Street, that's kind of like a posh...
11:09Oh, that's been redone.
11:12Not sure about that.
11:12Reminds me of the Flatiron in New York, but an ugly version.
11:16Yeah, posh streets down there, but quite a nice, welcome, quiet break.
11:22And a quick one, HMV.
11:33This opened up a couple of years ago again.
11:35Now, it's OK.
11:36It's more of just like a fan shop.
11:38You know, Funko Pops and T-shirts and stuff like that.
11:40Not really one for me, if I'm honest with you.
11:43Yeah, I was looking and the mayor is saying that he wants to have
11:46more of a diverse mix of stores along here, which I don't know.
11:50I think it's coming there.
11:51I still think there is...
11:53I don't know, there aren't many places...
11:55I'm going to be honest, I feel like there needs to be more places to eat.
11:57It's usually raining.
11:58If you watch my videos, you know, it's normally piddling it down.
12:02I don't know, but you just have to...
12:03It sounds silly.
12:04You have to physically walk a really long way.
12:07And I think that's why people would rather shop online.
12:09I'm an online shopper, but it's quite nice to go into a shop sometimes.
12:12There's a lot of like these...
12:13Is it Oud? Fragrance stores now?
12:15There's a lot of those phone shops and, yeah, tourist bits and bobs.
12:20I don't know. Are they trying to cater to too many people?
12:23I'm not sure.
12:23OK, let's take a quick welcome break from the madness of Oxford Street
12:28because I know what you guys are doing.
12:29It's that time of year.
12:30I feel like it's always a good time, isn't it?
12:32To look at holiday, browse on the web, do a little bit of online shopping.
12:37And if you're going to do that, you need to make sure you are protected
12:40using a VPN.
12:41Yes, the lovely guys at NordVPN are back to help you guys out.
12:45They are the fastest VPN in the world.
12:47Now you guys know you can use a VPN.
12:49Obviously to change your virtual presence from one country to another.
12:53Maybe you're booking flights.
12:54Quite often you can get cheaper prices by virtually being somewhere else.
12:57But sadly, in 2025, people are getting, unfortunately, a little bit clever
13:02when it comes to things like hacking and scams.
13:04But if you use NordVPN, make sure you are protected
13:07and keep things like your passwords and your login information safe
13:11so that you don't get, yeah, your information hacked.
13:13And Nord has a threat protection, which is going to protect you
13:16from all those nasties like ads and trackers.
13:18Also, you have a 30 day money back guarantee if you change your mind.
13:22So guys, get yourself NordVPN.
13:24Like I said, there's an offer.
13:26You're going to get an extra four months for free on a two year deal.
13:29Just make sure you use my promo code Hannah Ricketts to get that offer
13:33or click the link below.
13:34Get yourself protected. Come on, guys.
13:36It's 2025. What are you doing?
13:37As much as I want to walk around in the sun all day, guys,
13:40and browse hotels and do online shopping.
13:42Let's get back to Oxford Street.
13:44And here we have the old.
13:45Oh, was this House of Fraser?
13:47Yeah, I was getting around the wrong way.
13:48Hoff down opposite Bond Street.
13:51And actually, I'm going to.
13:53It's not the best design in the world as I pan over.
13:56So this crossing isn't in use and we just all had to like run across
13:59and it didn't work.
14:00Oh, my being a bit of a Karen, I might be there.
14:02I don't know.
14:03But yeah, the light crossing doesn't work.
14:05Maybe it'll work by the time this video goes up.
14:06But yeah, we'll just jump out in the middle of the buses.
14:13Oh, they are getting on with it.
14:14Look, you can see at the top there.
14:15So, yeah, the old House of Fraser building is going to be majority
14:20office space.
14:20And then I think it's this one office and shops kind of standard.
14:25I feel like every building is turning into like really, really nice offices
14:29that you can rent, obviously, and a little bit of shopping.
14:32And then as we pan across,
14:34I always think this building here is so beautiful with Swarovski
14:36and Sunglass Hut.
14:38And God, there's so many.
14:39But I feel like it's really busy on the road today, is it not?
14:42You have to edit a lot out.
14:43But yes, you can see the old Debenhams building.
14:46Yeah, over a million square foot of retail space is being worked on.
14:49Geez, it's just too much, man.
14:52I'm used to like the noise and the aggro and the argy bargy of London.
14:56I don't know.
14:57Everyone's in a rush.
14:58Maybe they're in a rush to get home to watch my videos.
15:00No, I'm joking.
15:01They're in a rush to finish work.
15:02I don't know. Enjoy the sun.
15:04Everyone's a bit on edge.
15:05Have we had too much caffeine?
15:07Maybe. I don't know.
15:08Oh, but give them credit.
15:09That does look quite lovely.
15:11That was the next back in the day, a very long time ago, and it was vacant.
15:14They've knocked it down, rejuiced it.
15:16And it's a beautiful Abercrombie and Fitch.
15:19Do we like Abercrombie?
15:20I've got a few of their jeans now, and I think they're really lovely for the price.
15:24I know it's not the same brand that it was like 10 years ago.
15:26Things have changed.
15:27But yeah, the quality, I don't know.
15:29I quite like it now.
15:31Yes, this is New Bond Street and then down to Old Bond Street.
15:34I have done a video on that.
15:35I'm sure some of you watched it.
15:36Yeah, the old Debenhams store.
15:39Maybe it's planning permission.
15:40They have taken ages.
15:41But yeah, posh offices.
15:47I do think a lot of places should have like vending machines for ibuprofen.
15:51I said that in my Camden video.
15:52I've got a headache.
15:53There is so much Greek food in London now.
15:55But I've just noticed on this corner, Massimo Dutti.
15:58What was here?
16:00Poulomba?
16:01What's that there?
16:02Yeah, there are a lot.
16:03That's gone. Maybe that's having a refurb.
16:05Hopefully it's having a refurb.
16:07Because this end is always a bit in between.
16:11John Lewis is the anchor, right?
16:13But I am very, very pleased to hear that John Lewis Oxford Street
16:16is finally getting a refurb.
16:18And I think the reports I've read are correct.
16:20And I'm very pleased because someone...
16:23Oh, I feel you. We need a refurb.
16:25Oh, I have a tea and cake voucher that runs out tomorrow.
16:27Anyway, side note.
16:28I read that he has approved a refurb of Oxford Street, which is needed.
16:32I'm so, so excited for that.
16:34Oh, my gosh, that is going to make Oxford Street amazing.
16:38Oh, I've just noticed on the left, that was a River Island.
16:40Then it was empty. Then it was something else.
16:42Hello, it's a Jack and Jones.
16:45Is this brutalist architecture?
16:46I don't think it is, but I just...
16:49I hate this type of architecture.
16:51What's up there? London College of Fashion.
16:54I think they should put another McDonald's up at Marble Arch.
16:57Oh, God, what's that noise?
17:05Right.
17:06I had a really long week at work.
17:08I'm tired.
17:10I want to come shopping. I don't want to listen to that.
17:13Oh, flippin' heck. Get me on some kind of dot-com.
17:16Right, what have we got? Oh, Pop Mart.
17:18It's more of these kind of... I don't know what you call them.
17:21But little kind of collectibles and knick-knacks.
17:25Yeah, like, I think it's Japanese, like, kind of kawaii style.
17:28Excuse my ignorance on that.
17:30But there's quite a lot of those stores in London now.
17:32We saw some in Camden, didn't we?
17:34The New Balance store has closed, but it looks like...
17:36I don't know if that's being refurbed.
17:38I feel like it didn't even need a refurb.
17:40And then this is the really weird, slightly, in my eyes,
17:43a bit depressing bit as you get up to Oxford Circus.
17:46The bit on the right is just a bit of a mishmash.
17:50And look, I might be mistaken, but honestly,
17:52I don't know how they're paying the rent.
17:54They can't be selling that much stuff.
17:56And then we do have another museum twist.
17:58I didn't realise it was here, actually.
18:00London's Home of Illusions.
18:02I feel like we need more things like that.
18:04I appreciate they're very expensive to make.
18:06But yeah, there's a few kind of things.
18:08And behind the back of here, some of you guys will know,
18:10there's things like mini-golf and stuff like that.
18:12Experiential, things to go and do.
18:14Not everyone wants to shop, but it's nice to
18:16kind of go and do something in the area.
18:18Which brings us to the world-famous Oxford Circus,
18:20where it crosses with Regent Street.
18:22And look at this.
18:24Nike Town, boarded up.
18:26Gone.
18:28It's actually going under a refurb.
18:30It's not gone for good. They are keeping that space.
18:32Ikea, still not open.
18:34Come onto that in a second.
18:36We still have Intimissi.
18:38But on the other corner,
18:40it was the Microsoft store, wasn't it?
18:42They had that kind of army truck thing or whatever it was
18:44that you could drive in there. Gone.
18:46That closed down a while ago.
18:48Microsoft confirmed that they were exiting the huge store
18:50to focus on their digital retail.
18:52Which, to be honest, I don't really blame them.
18:54But yeah, what a strange time.
18:56I wonder who's going to take that unit.
18:58Because I do find with these corner shops
19:00around Oxford Circus,
19:02as much as they're beautiful,
19:04there's not much physical space on each floor.
19:06And I think as a shopper, like H&M here,
19:08I never really want to go in it
19:10because I have to go up about four escalators
19:12to get to what I need.
19:14So, I don't know. Let's see.
19:16Oh, I did try to have a look. I can't find anyone
19:18who's taken up the offer.
19:20Or got the pockets for it.
19:22Right, are we going to film anyone get run over?
19:24No, we're not.
19:26But yes, Regent Street. Regent Street is beautiful.
19:28I'm going to do that in another video.
19:30A lot more expensive down there now.
19:32A lot more kind of sports brands, actually.
19:34Where's he going? Jeez.
19:36I do think most cyclists have death wish, don't they?
19:38Like, just wait two seconds, mate.
19:40Oh my days.
19:42There we go.
19:44Ikea.
19:46Apparently, it's now full 2020.
19:48Autumn, if you're from the UK.
19:50Full 2025.
19:52I give up.
19:54Oh, what's going on over there?
19:56There's a bit of a shouting.
19:58We'll ignore it.
20:00Yeah, we'll see it when it arrives.
20:02I actually think this neck of the woods
20:04would be better pedestrianised.
20:06I don't know.
20:08Obviously, it's not crazy busy when I'm filming this.
20:10This bit gets really busy.
20:12This bit gets proper squished.
20:14Like lemmings falling into the road.
20:16Yeah, this end has definitely had
20:18a lot of work over the years.
20:20Mango, House of CB, Bershka, Zara.
20:22Looks like there's a Pull & Bear coming.
20:24Good one for the Gen Zs.
20:26And I think to my earlier point,
20:28where it's all a bit spread out further up,
20:30I do think Oxford Street, Oxford Circus
20:32through to Tottenham Court Road,
20:34the bottom end, or the east end, I'd say,
20:36is actually a lot better because it's a bit more condensed.
20:38A little bit.
20:40Such a mishmash, isn't it?
20:42Look at that. I don't know how that modern thing
20:44got approved.
20:58Yes, in my video that I did
21:00ten-ish months ago, there were a lot
21:02of empty stores, and I've been trying to count them,
21:04but I did look up, and apparently
21:06almost 40% of the
21:08empty units along here have now been
21:10taken up at a, I don't know what
21:12rate, but yeah, finally they have been
21:14filled, and then definitely it feels like there aren't
21:16as many, because there aren't.
21:18Another renovation going on.
21:20Scoot through here. I don't think I've ever been down here.
21:22Gosh, I didn't even realise they were doing
21:24this one. A bit of a town planning nightmare
21:26to kind of walk along.
21:28Bit of a squash down there. Yeah, retail
21:30and offices. I mean, how many offices do we need?
21:32Oh, but look at that.
21:34What a pretty building.
21:36Whenever my friends want to go shopping, or just
21:38generally chit-chatting to people, and they want
21:40to go shopping on Oxford Street, they always say that they
21:42go to the Totten Court Road
21:44station, which is, like I said, the east side of things,
21:46because it's just better, it's quieter,
21:48it's easier. A lot of people obviously are getting
21:50the Elizabeth line, a lot of people.
21:52So I think that really has helped
21:54completely rejuvenate this neck of the woods.
21:56It blows my mind how many
21:58phone shops there still are. Vodafone,
22:00Samsung. Who's going to a physical
22:02phone shop? Pretty much everything down here is
22:04a filled unit. Yeah, these
22:06stores, there's loads of them, all the little characters.
22:08If you're wondering what
22:10modern architecture looks like in London
22:12these days, I think that building is
22:14a perfect example. And as I
22:16pan across, as we get on top
22:18of the Elizabeth line there, you've got, I think there's
22:20apartments up there. I can't imagine living
22:22in, gosh, not for me.
22:24But anywhoos. But below, it says working on
22:26the next retail experience.
22:28But yeah, that is modern architecture for you.
22:30I'm not sure about it.
22:32You very rarely see any police or community
22:34support along here though.
22:36But I would say, I usually feel quite safe
22:38walking along Oxford Street. You've just got to
22:40make sure, you know, if you've got a backpack on,
22:42you might have someone's hands go into the
22:44bag to steal your stuff. Be careful
22:46with your phone. The normal things that I've been telling
22:48you guys, you know, I've got this camera
22:50out, it is attached to my wrist.
22:52Hopefully I don't get it swiped at any
22:54point, but just have your wits about you, like
22:56most towns and cities.
22:58Ooh, there's another one. A magical shop.
23:00Or magical tax evasion. I don't know.
23:02Chill out. I'm just
23:04joking. This isn't the news.
23:06I'm just not sure.
23:08Selling American candy.
23:10Oh, I don't know. Ooh, this bit needs a judge.
23:12This has been like this for years. A bit of scaffolding.
23:14I don't know what's going on up there. Looks like something out of a
23:16horror movie. It's giving Sweeney Todd,
23:18isn't it? Yeah, let's see what happens
23:20over that, over the next few years along
23:22this bit. But yeah, just coming up to
23:24Tottenham Court Road. I forgot what it's called then.
23:26Oh yeah, it's a bit
23:28abysmal down there, isn't it? A vape shop.
23:30Noodle bar. Gosh, that
23:32building is so ugly.
23:34But as I pan down, we've got an Aldo
23:36coming. Kiko. Is it Kiko? Kiko?
23:38I think their makeup is supposed to be quite good, quite reasonable.
23:40Another Uniqlo. Goodness, there's
23:42quite a few of those. Excuse my ignorance.
23:44£5 meal deal.
23:46Is it always £5?
23:48Oh, I'm hungry.
23:50And there is, I walked past it, sorry. The
23:52massive Primark that everyone loves.
23:54That is a very good Primark.
23:56I'll give them that, I'll give them that. Right.
23:58And one thing I want to end on, as I wait
24:00to cross the light. Oh, I can't
24:02wait for proper spring.
24:04It makes such a difference, doesn't it? You finish
24:06work or whatever. The days are so much
24:08longer. Oh, it's nice to go to
24:10work, draw the curtains and
24:12come home and not have to instantly draw them.
24:14It's depressing, isn't it? My gosh, we all need
24:16to live somewhere else. I don't know, I think
24:18about 50% of you do, but it makes such
24:20a difference. That's a bit of a posh
24:22Starbucks.
24:26We come to this free
24:28art unit at the
24:30end here. What's it called?
24:32Alternet.
24:36But yes, this comes up as one of
24:38the best free things to do in London. I'm trying to just
24:40get it in frame without annoying
24:42people. This beautiful high-res
24:44screen. I mean, it must be like,
24:46I don't know, whatever K.
24:48And they have lots of different
24:50kind of art shows.
24:52It's a few seats, but always quite nice
24:54to have a bit of a browse.
25:04And then there's a second
25:06little room as well. It's quite a nice
25:08calming place to
25:10kind of decompress after
25:12walking down crazy Oxford Street.
25:14The only downside is it's darn
25:16windy.
25:18Okay, I feel like everything is a
25:20little bit calmer now. The wind has stopped
25:22for a brief second.
25:24Yes, guys, did you enjoy that little
25:26walk around? It's a bit loud in there now. Did you enjoy
25:28that walk around Oxford Street? I think it's nice
25:30to kind of see what is happening.
25:32I kind of hope that, I do think there
25:34should be more food places. I like the idea
25:36that there's more like galleries and like
25:38yeah, immersive things to go and do, but
25:40appreciate they're not the easiest thing to kind of
25:42implement and put in a
25:44unit that was once fashion.
25:46But let's see. There's a few questionable
25:48things. I am going to, like I said, I've thrown out
25:50already. There's a few stalls which I
25:52you know, would raise my eyebrow at.
25:54Let's put it that way. But let's see what happens.
25:56It's, there's so much
25:58noise around here. I think I'm
26:00a little bit overwhelmed this week.
26:02Anyway.
26:04I'm sure you guys know what
26:06it's like. But anyway, waffling on now
26:08as usual. Let me know.
26:10What do you want to see over the next few weeks? We are building
26:12up to Easter. So we're going to
26:14do some shopping, some food and everything in between.
26:16A little bit of fashion. Hopefully
26:18it warms up. It still is a bit nippy
26:20though. It still is a bit nippy. I don't
26:22know. I feel like I'm always dressed for the wrong
26:24weather at the moment. But the sun is shining
26:26and I'm going to take that. So yes guys
26:28I'm going to love and leave you. Remember, check out NordVPN.
26:30Get yourself protected.
26:32I will see you in a few days time.
26:34New videos every Tuesday
26:36and Friday at 6pm until
26:38I'm completely burnt out and then I'll go back to one.
26:40I might sit and watch this.
26:42Just decompress. Anyway, thanks for watching
26:44guys. Remember, if you can't be good,
26:46be careful. Bye.
