00:00Hi, my name's Theo with Manchester World and today I'm out the streets of Manchester asking people about Gen Z unemployment.
00:06Basically, a lot of young people are now struggling to find jobs. We're in a very, very crowded marketplace.
00:12We want to know if people are worried that Gen Z could become a lost generation and if they're Gen Z themselves, what they're doing to try and find themselves a job.
00:19100%, I think it's a legitimate concern and I feel like as time goes on, more and more people are staying at home with their parents. I just feel like it's harder now.
00:28Yeah, I feel like there is more link to the young. There's not really much. They don't really talk about what this can progress to after. You sort of have to figure that out yourself.
00:41My friends have lived at uni and their maintenance loan doesn't even cover their own accommodation so then they're attending uni but then their focus is on going to part-time work to get money to be able to live.
00:56And then when they finish uni, it's all a blur and they're like, let them go for now.
