00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Huston-Betts and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about potholes.
00:05And that's because it's been announced recently that councils could risk losing funding if they fail to maintain and fix potholes out on the roads.
00:12We want to know if people think that's right, if councils should be held responsible for fixing these potholes and how much of a problem they are for them.
00:19We live in the middle of nowhere, so we live in like a really rural area where there's potholes literally every three seconds on the road.
00:29So I would say it's probably a good thing.
00:33Yeah, I mean like, fix the potholes innit?
00:37I think the government getting directly involved in what the council does in, you know, specific places is, like, I think it can be good.
00:48And in this case I think it is, but I think that if they were to continue this kind of behaviour they would have to be like a case-by-case thing to make sure no weird business occurs.
