00:00I'm Michael Joplin from the Crown Commission for Lancashire. I'm out and about this morning from
00:03West Lancashire with some police officers, local policing team, just seeing some of the
00:09challenges that they face on a daily basis, some of the issues and concerns that they have.
00:17It's really important to come out, the response officers, naval policing team, because we want
00:24to rebuild naval policing here in Lancashire. That's where we pick up the information,
00:31the intelligence from the community to be able to deal with their problems and their challenges.
00:38Some of the concerns that we have around organised crime, drug gangs, anti-social behaviour,
00:45the real problems and issues that people see on a daily basis, even with some of the violence
00:50against women and girls and domestic abuse, and I've been hearing about that on the streets as
00:55well. So, really important, rebuilding naval policing, rebuilding that connection between
01:02the police and the public.
