00:00Clive Runshaw, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire. One of the most important aspects of my
00:06role is to hold the Chief Constable to account for delivery of the best services we can possibly
00:15deliver for the people of Lancashire. Now the mechanism for doing this, the formal mechanism,
00:21is with our regular accountability board meetings. At our most recent we focused on
00:30the function of the force control room and I was delighted that over 94% of the 999 calls
00:40were answered within 10 seconds and 93% of the 101s was answered within 40 seconds.
00:50This is a marked improvement in performance, one of the best performances statistically
00:56in the country. So it really gives me some assurance that we're delivering
01:03good performance for the people of Lancashire that when you call with your issues that
01:10someone will be there for you, will answer the phone and then will deal with those problems.
