00:00Malacanang assured that the government is ready to provide the assistance needed by former President Rodrigo Duterte while he is in the custody of the ICC.

00:14Former President Rodrigo Duterte has arrived in the Netherlands to face the case of Crimes Against Humanity in the International Criminal Court

00:23because of his bloody war on drugs and extrajudicial killings while he was the President of the Philippines and the Mayor of Davao City.

00:32The government assured that it will provide assistance to Duterte.

00:37We have the law RA-9851 where it is stated that even if the former President Duterte should be executed or should have a hearing in the ICC,

00:54the government will not neglect him, especially if it is about his rights.

01:00Whoever it is, even if it is not the former President, as long as it is a Filipino, they can expect assistance from the government.

01:07According to Republic Act 9851 of Philippine Act on Crimes Against International Humanitarian Law, Genocide and Other Crimes Against Humanity,

01:35the Philippine Embassy delivered clothes and care packages to the former President along with a group and crew of airplanes.

01:45Under the leadership of the Embassy, the former Executive Secretary Midialdea was granted a 15-day visa as a legal counsel of the former President

01:56and allowed to visit him at the ICC Detention Center.

02:01The Embassy of the ICC and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs were the first to provide the necessary services

02:09and to monitor the medical and physical condition of the former President.

02:14During his visit to the Netherlands, an ICC nurse who was part of the reception party was able to consult with the former President's personal nurse

02:24regarding his health and medical needs.

02:28The former President was also given the names and contact numbers of the officials of the Embassy

02:34who can call for any consular assistance that he may need.

02:40He is still considered a Filipino and a former President.

02:44His companions are complete. There are doctors and nurses.

02:49His lawyers are also there.

02:51So there is no truth that he was not given the right attention, especially regarding the medical needs that he needs.
