00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. addressed tourism, peace and order, and education in his activities a week ago.

00:09Here are the details of the national news of Kenneth Paciente of PTV.

00:15President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed three legislative amendments,

00:20including amendments to the Agricultural Tarification Act,

00:23Value-Added Tax Refund for Non-Resident Tourists,

00:26and the Basic Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act.

00:29This is just a proof of the government's commitment to improve the lives of farmers, Filipino businessmen, and students.

00:38On Tuesday, the President himself visited the North Luzon Expressway-Candaba 3rd Viaduct in Pulilan, Bulacan.

00:45According to the Executive Board, this project will serve as a pathway for the economy in Central Luzon,

00:52especially that it will speed up the journey not only of motorists, but also of services and products.

00:59This is also a time, especially this holiday season, when many Filipinos will return to their provinces.

01:05The President also attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Overseas Filipino Workers Hospital Bagong Pilipinas Cancer Care Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

01:14This is a level-one specialty hospital with a 50-bed capacity that can provide services to OFWs and their families.

01:23On Wednesday, the President met with 13 individuals and organizations

01:27at the 2024 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas.

01:41Again, the President assured that the government will continue to build bridges to improve the well-being of OFWs,

01:48as well as the assistance of the government abroad to strengthen labor agreements to ensure that OFWs will be protected.

01:58The Executive Board also prioritized cooperation with the Private Sector Advisory Council,

02:03where it approved the recommendation to strengthen tourism in the country,

02:07as well as the launch of the Shopping Festival Philippines, which is being held this holiday season.

02:13The Executive Board also issued a directive to review the PISAC suggestion to improve the immigration experience of foreign tourists

02:21through the Digital Identification System, which will help them for a proper transaction and faster travel processing.

02:30On Thursday, the President convened the 2nd Joint National Peace and Order Council-Regional Peace and Order Council Meeting in Campo Crame,

02:37where he ordered the law enforcement entities and anti-corruption agencies to strengthen their efforts against the operations of OFWs in the country.

02:46Here, the President also reiterated that the country will not do anything to worsen the situation in the West Philippine Sea.

02:54The President also emphasized the importance of a peaceful electoral process in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

03:01The elections there will serve as a pathway for peace in Mindanao, according to the President.

03:08On Friday, the President visited the graduation rites of more than 600 new officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

03:15who graduated from the Major Services Officer Candidate Course of the AFP.
