00:00From the Philippine News Agency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that the government will provide sufficient funds
00:08for the implementation of irrigation programs in the Philippines.
00:12The President will work closely with the officials of the National Irrigation Administration, or NIA.
00:19The President emphasized the importance of large dams that can be used not only as water for the farms
00:27but also for other services.
00:29He also discussed the strategic plans and projects of the agency for this year,
00:37including the Pump Irrigation Sub-Program,
00:40Stage 2 of the Ilocos Norte-Ilocos Sub-Abra Irrigation Project, and others.
00:46Meanwhile, the President assured that the government has funds for the projects
00:51under the General Appropriations Act of 2025.
