00:00In the first year of the Oragon Awards in Bicol Region,

00:03the workers were honored in the face of challenges such as calamity.

00:08This is the story of Emanuel Bongkodin of Radyo Pilipinas, Albay.

00:15The Department of Labor and Employment recognized the outstanding individuals

00:19who showed their support for the programs for the workers in Bicol Region.

00:25More than 250 awards were awarded for different categories in the Dolly Annual Oragon Awards,

00:32such as the Kabuhayan Awards, Pillar of Partnership Awards, Responsive Partnership Awards,

00:38Heart of Service Award, Beacon of Service Awards, Voice of Partnership Awards,

00:44and Visionary Support Award for one awardee.

00:47The highest award, the Oragon Excellence Award,

00:51was awarded to Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma

00:55for his outstanding contribution in the construction sector.

00:59Here, the Department of Labor and Employment gave the importance of helping

01:04for the continued development of the region from the calamity.

01:09Greetings to all of you, in the name of the Department of Labor and Employment,

01:13and also to my own family,

01:15I hope that even though we are here in Bicol,

01:19we are really met by our fellow countrymen.

01:22They are fellow countrymen one after another.

01:25I believe that we will rise again and show

01:30that Bicol is really a true oragon.

01:32We are ready to help so that we can see

01:35that the vigour, strength, and excellence of the people of Bicol Region will return.
