00:00Good morning and live here at the Pagasa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:04Here is the time, today is Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
00:09And in our latest satellite images, we can see that the easterlies or the wind from the Pacific Ocean
00:16is now affecting our country.
00:18The winds are getting weaker although we are still hoping that next week,
00:22possibly, there will be a last storm of northeast monsoon or winds.
00:27Compared to the past few days, there are fewer storms here in our country.
00:31That's why generally, the weather is fair in most of our islands,
00:34except for our usual isolated or dry rains, lightning and thunderstorms,
00:41isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
00:43Meanwhile, there is a high chance of rains in parts of Aurora and Quezon,
00:47along the easterlies.
00:49It is possible that the winds will sometimes be strong in the rains.
00:53That's why we need to be careful of potential flash floods and landslides.
00:58Meanwhile, we are not monitoring any storms inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:03Again, the month of March is one of the months of the year
01:06where there are few storms entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:13Today, here in Luzon, we are expecting a higher chance of rains in parts of Aurora and Quezon
01:20while most of Luzon will experience isolated or dry rains, lightning and thunderstorms.
01:27It is still possible that it will be cloudy, especially in the afternoon and evening.
01:32The temperature outside is 26 to 34 degrees Celsius,
01:36in Togagaraw, 22 to 32 degrees Celsius,
01:39in Baguio, 16 to 24 degrees Celsius,
01:42in Metro Manila, 23 to 33 degrees Celsius,
01:45in Tagaytay, 21 to 32 degrees Celsius,
01:48in Bicol Region, particularly in Legazpi City, 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
01:53In Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,
01:56we are also expecting isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
02:00The temperature in Puerto Princesa is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius,
02:04in Calayaan Islands, 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:08A large part of Visayas will experience dry rains, lightning and thunderstorms,
02:13and slightly hot weather.
02:15The temperature in Iloilo City is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius,
02:19in Cebu, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius,
02:22while in Tacloban, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:26A large part of Mindanao will experience dry rains, lightning and thunderstorms,
02:31and slightly hot weather.
02:33The temperature in Zamboanga City is 24 to 34 degrees Celsius,
02:38in Cagayan de Oro, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius,
02:41while in Metro Davao, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:46And because the weather is getting colder,
02:49we do not have a high gale warning in any part of our country,
02:52even though it is quite possible that the sea will sometimes move
02:56in this part of the East Luzon.
02:59Please be careful, especially the small sea vehicles and small boats,
03:04especially if we have thunderstorms that sometimes make the sea move.
03:10Yesterday, the heat index in Metro Manila was 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.
03:18And the highest heat index in our country yesterday
03:23was recorded in Masbate City, in Masbate,
03:27in Catbalogan, in the province of Samar,
03:29and in Zamboanga City, in Zamboanga del Sur.
03:32It reached up to around 41 degrees Celsius.
03:36Today, here in Metro Manila,
03:38the possible temperature we can feel is 38 to 39 degrees Celsius,
03:43while the places where we can expect up to 41 degrees Celsius
03:47heat index, or where we can feel the heat,
03:50are in Masbate, in Cataruman, and Zamboanga City, in Zamboanga del Sur.
03:56It continues to give us hope,
03:59especially when it comes to the hot or dry season,
04:03that this hot season will continue,
04:05so we should avoid going out, especially in the afternoon,
04:08and always drink water,
04:09so that we can avoid the heat that we can feel,
04:12which is the result of our expected dry season,
04:16or the hot season.
04:19Our day will be popular until 6.07 a.m. and sunset,
04:23until 6.06 p.m.
04:25And follow us on our various social media platforms,
04:29Facebook, YouTube, and on our website,
04:33for more information on our climate and weather.
