00:00Good afternoon, this is the latest weather update this Sunday, February 9, 2025.
00:08At the moment, the shear line is the cold wind from the northeast and the hot wind from the east.
00:16This shear line is currently affecting the southern Luzon and Visayas.
00:21Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is affecting the southern part of Luzon.
00:27This shear line is expected to bring heavy rain and heavy snowfall in Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Aurora, and Quezon.
00:38The easterlies will bring rain in Caraga and Davao Region.
00:42Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring heavy rain in Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region,
00:52Central Luzon, and Calabar Zone.
00:58We expect better weather in the southern part of our country,
01:02where in the southern part of Luzon, there are chances of light rain,
01:07and in the southern part of Mindanao, there are chances of localized thunderstorms.
01:12We also do not monitor any low-pressure area or typhoons inside or near our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:21Because of the shear line, we have a weather advisory that was updated at 5 p.m. yesterday,
01:27where we expect moderate to heavy rainfall in Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur,
01:36Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar.
01:41This is today until tomorrow afternoon.
01:44We expect 50 to 100 millimeters of rain.
01:47If the rainfall is moderate to heavy, localized flooding is possible in urbanized, low-lying,
01:53near-rivers, and landslides in highly susceptible areas.
01:58Tomorrow afternoon until Tuesday afternoon, we expect moderate to heavy rainfall in Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte,
02:07Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar.
02:16Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon, we expect moderate to heavy rainfall in Isabela, Aurora, Quezon,
02:26Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur.
02:29Our regional services division will continue to issue rainfall advisory, thunderstorm advisory,
02:36or heavy rainfall warning if necessary.
02:41For our forecast for tomorrow, we expect this shearline to bring heavy rainfall and heavy rainfall
02:49in Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Aurora, and Quezon.
02:56Meanwhile, we expect heavy rainfall in Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region,
03:02Cagayan Valley, and the cold areas of Central Luzon and Calabarzon.

03:35Tomorrow's temperature in Puerto Princesa is 24 to 30 degrees Celsius,
03:40and 25 to 30 degrees Celsius in Calayaan Islands.
03:44For tomorrow's forecast in Visayas and Mindanao,
03:47we expect that it will be rainy weather in Visayas and in the eastern part of the Mindanao area.
03:56Better weather in the cold areas of Mindanao where we only have a chance of localized thunderstorms.
04:03Tomorrow's temperature in Iloilo and Tacloban is 25 to 30 degrees Celsius,
04:0926 to 30 degrees Celsius in Cebu,
04:1224 to 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga,
04:16and 24 to 31 degrees Celsius in Cagayan de Oro.
04:21We also have a gale warning coming out.

04:27We expect that there will be a gale warning in Batanes,
04:32Cagayan, along with Babuyan Islands,
04:34Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan,
04:38Isabela, western coast of Zambales, Aurora, and Calayaan Islands,
04:45northern coast of Quezon, along with Polilio Islands,
04:49Camarines Norte, northern coast of Camarines Sur,
04:54northern and eastern coast of Catanduanes,
04:58eastern coast of Albay,
05:01eastern coast of Sorsogon,
05:03northern and eastern coast of Northern Samar,
05:07and eastern coast of Eastern Samar.
05:10So if possible, don't go to those places
05:13because it will be very windy,
05:16especially in the ocean,
05:17and it will be dangerous for small sea vehicles.
05:21For the 3-day weather outlook of our main cities,
05:25Metro Manila and Baguio City,
05:27on Tuesday, it will be rainy because of the northeast monsoon.
05:31In Legazpi City, it will be rainy,
05:33possibly because of the shear line.
05:35In Metro Manila and Legazpi,
05:37when Wednesday and Thursday come,
05:39we will have fair weather conditions,
05:41but we also have chances of localized thunderstorms.
05:44And in Baguio City, Wednesday to Thursday,
05:47although the weather is good,
05:48there are still chances of light rain.
05:52For the main cities,
05:53in Visayas, Metro Cebu and Iloilo City,
05:56starting on Tuesday,
05:58we will have improving weather conditions.
06:00And we can see that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday,
06:03there are chances of localized thunderstorms.
06:08In Tacloban City, until Tuesday, it is possible to have rain,
06:11but when Wednesday and Thursday come,
