00:00Bristol Rovers head coach Inigo Calderon has made clear that results are now the most important
00:06thing for the Gaffs from now until the end of the season as they remain embroiled in
00:11a Ligue 1 relegation battle. They drew with Shrewsbury Town in midweek and whilst performances
00:16are still important for Calderon, results and gaining points are now the most important
00:21aspect of their game.
00:23Yeah, results are always the most important thing. The philosophy, at least, is the way
00:30to get them. But yes, probably yes, I value more now the results than the way we get the
00:38results. But as I say, if we try to do the right way, usually you are closer to get that.
00:46With regards to the draw with Shrewsbury Town, Calderon made clear that it was indeed a good
00:50point for Rovers.
00:52Well, I think it was a good point. As I say, watching back at the game, I felt that we
01:00did enough things to win it. But at the same time, we conceded chances that we shouldn't
01:06concede because I think we were better than them. And then there are things that we have
01:09to improve because I think when you are better than a position, you cannot afford to have
01:13that many chances against. But overall, I think I was quite happy with the performance
01:18on the team, especially the character they showed, the commitment, the effort.
01:24Bristol City head coach Liam Manning has praised player Harry Cornick of the Robins, who was
01:29one of the scorers during their 2-0 win over Millwall in midweek. That saw them move level
01:34on points with West Ham who sits inside the play-off places in sixth place. Liam Manning
01:40was keen to praise Cornick's professionalism over the last few weeks.
01:45Yeah, delighted for Cornick. It's been a challenging time for him throughout the season, but I've
01:50always maintained a really good relationship with him. I can't speak highly enough of him
01:54as a professional. I think he's kept his head down, his work behind the scenes, culturally
01:58what he brings in terms of his energy, his positivity, the banter he brings. He's been
02:03huge for the culture behind the scenes. I think he deserves that tonight because football
02:09is such a tough game and things can change so quickly. So I'm really pleased for him.
