00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Kusinbets and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester on a lovely, lovely day
00:06asking banks a very, very simple question.
00:09With spring now on the horizon, it feels like cities abuzz with sort of excitement about finally seeing some sun here.
00:17Right here in Stephenson Square you've got people gathering and we want to know basically
00:21what people's favourite season is in Manchester and why, where they like to spend it
00:26and which was the toughest for them as well.
00:28So let's go out and see what people say.
00:30Can I do a tip?
00:31You can do a tip.
00:32I feel like summer, obviously for, like you look today and I was saying to you before weren't I like,
00:38it's so great to be English, like you look out and it could be 12 degrees, there's a bit of sun,
00:42everyone's out for a pint and that's like the social aspect of it, everyone's in a better mood
00:47but also winter is so good here, like the Christmas markets, like everyone, you know,
00:53I like winter as a season anyway, just getting all snuggly and whatever
00:57and I feel like Christmas is a time that everyone comes together
01:01and again, probably a bit more surrounded by drinks than it should be
01:06but everyone comes out in summer together and it's just like everyone's so warm, like much warmer,
01:13like I feel like it's that period between Christmas and spring.
01:16It's got to be summer, summer in Manchester, yes beer garden, yes terrace, best place.
01:24I feel like the whole winter vibe is like fun, it's nice but I feel like it's a case of making do with the bad weather
01:31but I feel like summer, the seasonal depression sheds and even when it's not even sunny
01:38but the sun is just shining, the sun is shining but it's not particularly hot,
01:42I feel like that just brings out something and you just get in a good mood
01:46but for me the best season is definitely summer.
01:49Yes bar, my factory, the terrace.
01:54It's like seasonal depression type thing is a real thing in England and Manchester especially
02:00and I just think that everyone comes together in between spring and summer and December time as well.
02:07It's my mate's favourite bar, he took me, quickly became my favourite.
02:12What did we say today? Like we were in union, I was like, is there any way we can go for food?
02:17We have like a three hour gap on a Thursday and Amber was like, Northern Port, I just thought of this
02:22and I was like, Stephenson Square, absolutely but in December it's like St Anne's Square or Albert Square
02:31you know with the big centre and whatever and that's just, and even like Piccadilly Gardens now
02:35they've got it all good going on in December.
02:38So there you have it, a lot of answers there, not much love for winter,
02:41it's not a massive surprise having just come out of a very cold period.
02:45For me personally, spring is the time that I love Manchester the most.
02:49You don't have too much beating sun, they've got enough of sun to bring a bit of excitement,
02:53bring a bit of joy and to bring an excuse for a cheeky post work plant as well.
02:57So that's all for now, follow Manchester World.
