00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon and welcome to another edition of 5 things to do next
00:06week across central Lancashire and the Fylde Coast.
00:11First up in Preston, a theatre show called All My Sons is on at the Preston Playhouse
00:16between Wednesday February 26th and Saturday March 1st.
00:22Presented by Preston Drama Club, this play offers an incisive indictment of greed, capitalism
00:28and self-interest and is remembered as one of Arthur Miller's greatest works.
00:33The show starts at 7.30pm each night with prices starting from £11.
00:40In Trolley, the comedian Angela Barnes brings her new stand-up show, Angst, to the Trolley
00:45Theatre on Thursday February 27th and Friday February 28th.
00:51In this hilarious show, the star of Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo shares some stories
00:56of success and sound logic, but mostly stories of unmitigated failure, a distinct lack of
01:02wisdom, a little bit of German and loads of jokes.
01:07Limited tickets are available and they're £17 each.
01:12Then in South Ribble, Saturday March 1st sees the return of the Longton Country Market.
01:18Starting in March, the event will take place on the first Saturday of each month until
01:22December.
01:24Next week's market will be on between 10am and 12pm at the Women's Institute Hall on
01:28School Lane in Longton.
01:31Free to attend, expect coffee and cake, stalls selling craft, plants and food and free willow,
01:37henna or watercolour lessons, although these do need to be booked.
01:42Over on the Fylde Coast, the play An Inspector Calls is on at the Blackpool Grand between
01:48Tuesday February 25th and Saturday March 1st.
01:53Stephen Daldry's multi-award-winning national theatre production of JB Priestley's classic
01:57thriller is returning after a record-breaking sell-out tour in 2022.
02:03The play follows Inspector Gould and the prosperous Burling family, whose dinner party is shattered
02:09by his investigations into the death of a young woman.
02:13The show starts at 7.30pm each night, with prices starting from £17.50.
02:20Finally, in Liffham, singer-songwriter duo The Breath are performing at the Loughborough
02:25Pavilion on Tuesday February 25th.
02:28Made up of Manchester-based guitarist Stuart MacMillan and folk singer-flutist Rhianna,
02:35Connolly The Breath presents a contemporary take on old folk.
02:40Expect exquisitely crafted, honest, personal, heartfelt songs that touch on topics ranging
02:46from childhood summers and first love to cultural dislocation, post-colonial injustices and grief.
02:53Tickets are £20 and the show starts at 7.30pm.
02:59So there are five top things to do next week, but whatever you're up to, have a good one.
