00:10First up in Preston, if you're looking for weekend plans, then the Continental Pub has
00:16two nights of live music on offer. On Friday, January 10th, the Preston singer-songwriter
00:22Rich Chance brings vibrant quirky material from his new album to the stage between 8
00:28p.m. and 11 p.m., with tickets costing £10. The following night, Acoustic Floyd are on
00:34between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. They will bring you the music of Pink Floyd from a new acoustic
00:40angle for £7 a ticket. In Chorley, the Brinscull Lantern Parade is
00:46on Saturday, January 11th at Brinscull Cricket Club. Starting at 4.45 p.m. and finishing
00:52two hours later, it is a free community event with music provided by Music for All and refreshments
00:57by the event host, Wildwood Daves. Refreshment tickets are £2 per person and give you a
01:04brew, slice of cake and chance to toast a marshmallow. Limited spaces are available
01:09on this Rivenell Parish Council-funded event, so organisers politely ask that only residents
01:14of Brinscull and surrounding villages book on.
01:17Over on the Fylde Coast, the UK West Coast Folk Festival is on at the Opera House, Winter
01:24Gardens and Blackpool between Friday, January 10th and Sunday, January 12th.
01:30Across the three days, 33 acts will take to three stages, including the Barstoward Sons
01:37of Al Doonican, Ashley Hutchings and Becky Mills, Oyster Band, Mary Hare and Judy Tezuki.
01:46Tickets for the full weekend are currently at the early bird price of £165.65, so get
01:53them quick before they go up.
01:56In Liffin St Anne's, the Rainbow Dance and Theatre School bring their production of Sleeping
02:00Beauty to the Loughborough Pavilion between Friday, January 10th and Sunday, January 12th.
02:06The pantomime runs for two hours and 15 minutes and all ages are welcome. Expect fantastic
02:12lighting, costume and effects, as well as a variety of dance styles. Tickets are £18
02:19for adults, £15 for seniors and £13 for children.
02:25It's also the first full week of January, and therefore the first full week of some
02:29amazing January discounts at bars and restaurants across Preston, Blackpool and their neighbouring
02:35areas. Some highlights include 50% off food at Slug & Lettuce, Weatherspoon Pubs will
02:41be offering pints for as little as £99p and Turtle Bay is offering customers £10 to spend
02:47in its restaurants during the month of January. This gift can be redeemed by downloading its
