00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon, and welcome to another edition of Five Things to Do Next Week across central Lancashire and the Fowled Coast.
00:11First up in Preston, the ever-popular annual egg rolling event on Avner and Miller Parks returns this Easter Monday.
00:19The tradition, which began in 1867, would have originally seen people rolling paste eggs down the hill to see whose could go the furthest without breaking.
00:28A Lancashire custom, paste eggs were traditionally decorated by wrapping the eggs in onion skins and boiling them to give the shells a golden-mottled effect.
00:38Nowadays, the egg rolling mainly sees a more modern version of rolling chocolate eggs down at steep slopes.
00:44The event runs between 11am and 4pm and is of course free, just turn up.
00:50In Chorley, the award-winning musical comedian Eddie Hares brings his show Wonderful Discovery of Witches and the County of Himself to the Chorley Theatre on Friday, April 25th.
01:03The show starts at 8pm and its premise is that startling revelations about his relations have led him on a weird and wonderful spirit journey of self-discovery through the rounds of the Lancashire Witch Trials and Neurodivergence.
01:19Tickets are still available and cost £12 each.
01:22Slightly further out, Heskin Hall is hosting its monthly Classic Car Rally on Sunday, April 27th.
01:31Running between 10.30am and 3pm, all types of Classic vehicles are welcome at the rally and there is a prize for the winner.
01:39It costs £3 to enter the competition, but the event is free for those just visiting to lock them out.
01:45Over on the Files Coast, Seven Drunken Nights arrives at the Blackpool Grand Theatre on Friday, April 25th, direct from the West End and various world tours.
01:57In partnership with Tourism Ireland and in association with legendary Irish pub O'Donoghue's, audiences are invited to join a talented cast of seasoned musicians dedicated to bringing the music of the iconic Dubliners back to life.
02:11This ultimate feel-good Irish show runs between 7.30pm and 10pm and tickets start from £24.
02:20Finally, in Liffin, the iconic DJ Rusty Egan presents his Blitz Club Visage 18s DJ set at the Laughla Pavilion on Friday, April 25th.
02:31During the evening, Rusty will be presenting an extensive 80s DJ set from his days at the Blitz Club, including tracks by Visage, the band he formed in Midgett, with amazing visuals on screen from the Blitz Club and the New Romantic Movement.
02:47Rusty will be accompanied on stage by singer-dancers Georgina Bayley and Chris Columba, and he will bring a few CD and vinyl box sets with him to sign.
02:56The event runs between 7.30pm and 10.30pm, with tickets starting from £28.50.
03:05So there are five top things to do next week.
03:08But whatever you're up to, have a good one.
