00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon and welcome to another edition of five things to do next
00:05week across central Lancashire and the Fylde Coast.
00:10First up in Preston, Gilbert and Sullivan's Princess Ida will be on at the Preston Playhouse
00:15between Wednesday March 12th and Saturday March 15th. This is a comic opera about a
00:21princess who founds a women's university and teaches that women are superior to men, much
00:26to the dissatisfaction of her husband, the prince. Presented by the Preston, Gilbert
00:31and Sullivan Society, the show runs between 7.30pm and 10.10pm. Tickets are £12 for adults.
00:40In Chorley, the comedian Eshan Akbar performs at the Chorley Theatre on Sunday March 16th.
00:47As seen on Sex Education, Mock the Week, QI, Love Live at the Apollo and Comedy Central
00:52Live, Eshan has supporters from the biggest acts of the UK too, including Nicky Flanagan
00:58and Jason Manford. This highly anticipated tour is Eshan's second of his own after the
01:03success of his first tour, The Pretender. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £18.50.
01:12Also in Chorley, the monthly classic car rally at Heskin Hall returns on Sunday March 16th.
01:19Between 10.30am and 3pm, all types of classic vehicles are welcome at the rally and there is
01:25a prize for the winner. It costs £3 to enter the competition but the event is free for those
01:30visiting just to look around. Over on the Fylde Coast, Sunday Night at the Grand takes place at
01:38the Blackpool Grand Theatre on Sunday March 16th. Blackpool's best loved variety show
01:44returns for its 10th anniversary spectacular starring Mick Miller, Jimmy Cricket, award-winning
01:51percussionist and BGT finalist Ben Nicholls and the outstanding vocalist Benjamin Moss,
01:56who rose to fame on The Voice, plus many more. All proceeds go to the Not Forgotten charity.
02:03Tickets start from £20.50. Finally in Liffin, a show called The Baddies is on at the Loughborough
02:11Pavilion between Thursday March 13th and Friday March 14th. With songs by Joe Stilgo, The Baddies
02:18is a wickedly hilarious adaption of Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler's smash hit story
02:25which promises to be a laugh out loud riot for all the family. Tickets are £17.50 for adults
02:32and £15.50 for children. So there are five top things to do next week but whatever you're up to,
