Selhurst Park, London, UK

00:00So, hello everyone.
00:07Okay, everybody, if you could use the mics please, if you'd like to start.
00:28Yes, a very disappointing result, but in the end, I think the game was how we expected
00:45it.
00:46I spoke about efficiency before and take the opportunities when you get them, so we had
00:52a few in the first half where we didn't take them and then we gave them a goal.
01:00Just before halftime, tough, when you're down, I think a good reaction straight after halftime,
01:05then we had the momentum, but we couldn't take it again and then Everton did well and
01:09we were, they waited, they passed, we didn't get so much pressure, we were a little bit
01:15worried of their long balls from Pickford, distances were a little bit too big and then
01:22they waited for this one situation, for this one set play and that's again how we lost
01:29the game, so that's why it's frustrating, but we had a similar game against Brentford
01:37where we made, let's say, the first big mistake that led to a penalty, we made today the first
01:43big mistake that led to the 1-0 and it's now important for us to learn from these kind
01:49of games because it looks like and it's my job with my staff to give the players better
01:56solutions in games like today and then also because I think it's a game we should not
02:05lose at least, but we lost it the second time so that makes it even more frustrating and
02:11now it's again up to us to learn from it and improve the performance against teams that
02:16play in this way.
02:18You say it's similar to the Brentford game, it feels like this is something that we've
02:23seen at home, especially this season, where you've had chances, maybe not taking them
02:29and then there's been individual errors or team errors in defence, is that something
02:34that you see a pattern in and have you identified the pattern there at all for your home form
02:40being relatively poor certainly compared to your away form?
02:48Pattern, I'd say the first goal today is no pattern, it never happened before and I'm
02:54pretty sure it will never happen again, but it happened today, but I think we need better
03:03solutions in the final third and we have to, you could see today we found our wing-backs
03:09quite often in the first, second touch wasn't good enough to pass the ball early enough
03:15but I think it was a game and you can see it in the table now and you can see it in
03:22both games where small details decide and the second time against Everton the small
03:32details decided for them, it's hard and tough to accept but we have to accept it and we
03:38have to learn from it and we have to find better solutions to control these games.
03:45In terms of efficiency, is that something you've seen develop over the season, do you
03:50feel like your team is more efficient, they're becoming more efficient, obviously today you're
03:55saying they weren't efficient enough but have you seen a development in that efficiency
03:59over the season so far?
04:02From time to time yes, some games yes, but we also know that we are not a team that scores
04:14four or five goals easily, we know that we have to work hard for creating chances, we
04:19have to work hard for scoring goals, fortunately we are really good in set-plays, our goal
04:27was the same as their second goal, their second phase and the ball comes in again and many
04:34goals happen like this and let's say when both teams have this situation it's a 1-1
04:40but when you make one more big mistake you lose the game.
04:44Adam Watson, you've had a great time out there, how much have you missed him and how
04:55excited are you for him and how do you see his contribution today and Eze as well?
05:02Of course when both are in their best shape then they will help us but also to be honest
05:08they are not in their best shape, Adam can't be after a long injury and having 60 minutes
05:14five days ago, that's why we decided not to start him and that's the same in the last
05:20four weeks, he had a few trainings but of course we know that he's a player who can
05:26solve one-against-one situations against a team like Everton, it's very important,
05:30he showed it after half-time, was a little bit unlucky with his finishes but now it's
05:36important that they come back, get back into their best personal shape and then
05:44they will contribute for the team's success of course.
05:48Thank you, anybody else?
06:05No, I think this will be like the Wembley goal in 1966, nobody will know again because
06:12there is, I think there's no camera angle that will solve it, there is no goal line
06:18technology that will solve it, the linesmen decided in that way and so we have to accept
06:24it, of course it's you can say unlucky but we can't change it anymore and as I said when we
06:31made some mistakes, maybe, really maybe because I don't complain or blame somebody, maybe the
06:38linesmen made one but I think we will never know.
