00:00As of June 2022, IATA, which is one of the key stakeholders and bodies in the aviation industry,
00:08they have documented and they've shared data that globally global air travel is at 71 percent
00:16of where it was before the pandemic. At 71 percent already we're seeing a lot of airlines
00:22are having and a lot of operators in general are having a lot of issues in terms of
00:27personnel shortages and just getting people quickly enough back in their roles and then
00:35in order to get the planes into the sky. Jobs within the aviation industry are seen a bit
00:42different to what they were before the pandemic. Now if someone considers joining the aviation
00:48industry they will ask themselves what if there's another variant, what if there's another pandemic,
00:54will I lose my job? So there's that uncertainty. This effect will most probably
01:00continue in its current form for the near term future and that is because in order to
01:10get people back up in there, in order to get people working in aviation jobs again,
01:16it requires, depending on the role, a certain amount of training. The UAE has been doing
01:23relatively well. So over the past 10 years or actually even longer than that the UAE has really
01:32built out its aviation training infrastructure. The UAE government has had some excellent safe
01:40policies when it came to the pandemic management and controlling the pandemic which has also
01:48allowed the training organizations in the UAE to continue operations for most part of the pandemic
01:55which has allowed the different operators and the training organizations to train
02:03a good number of individuals which has now allowed especially UAE operators to ramp up quicker
02:13relatively to some other operators around the globe. So there's some fantastic training
02:17organizations here in the UAE through Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah which have for the majority
02:27of 2020 and 2021 coming into 2022 continued operations which has really allowed them to
02:35be able to train a lot more people a lot quicker than maybe in some other parts of the world.
02:39The UAE due to its strong aviation industry has really invested heavily over the past
02:46more than two decades on building world-class and global training infrastructure
02:52where you see now that not only are the UAE training centers are training
03:00for airlines in the UAE but throughout the region and then depending on the role throughout
03:06you have pilots coming from all over the world to the UAE to conduct their training.
