Much of the UK will be overcast during the night, with widespread rain in southern England and Wales which may fall as snow on higher ground. Further north the showers are much less pervasive, with the west and north of Scotland remaining mostly clear during the overnight period. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the evening of 07/02/2025. 00:00Hello there, good evening. More cloud and it's still remaining chilly, also a spot
00:05of snow as we head into the overnight period. Still plenty of rain and showers
00:11across the southeast, that's slowly going to spread its way into parts of Wales,
00:14central parts of England and it could give us some snow mainly across hills
00:18particularly in Wales, could also see some flurries to lower levels too.
00:22Slightly different story across the northwest though, drier here, clearer so this
00:27is likely where we're going to see some frost by the time we reach the morning
00:30and we'll start to see a few showers as well starting to feed in to northeastern
00:34parts of Scotland, northeastern parts of England too and once again we could see
00:38some snow mixed in amongst these showers. Now there's still going to be a fair
00:42amount of cloud around overnight so although a chilly night most towns and
00:45cities just about remaining above zero, that's away from the northwest though
00:48where we're likely to dip below freezing and see the frost. Now as we head into
00:54the weekend we're still largely dominated by the high across Scandinavia
00:59that's once again bringing us a very slight easterly flow but it's more
01:02dragging in cloud and also some drizzly spots at times too. The winds aren't
01:07particularly strong but may just add on a little bit of a chill in the air over
01:10the weekend. So once again on Saturday there's going to be plenty of cloud
01:14around, some drizzle at times too and we'll still continue to see a feed of
01:18showers across the northeast where once again we could see a sprinkling of snow
01:22but it should start to brighten up across the southeast as we head into
01:25the afternoon allowing some sunshine to break through and once again the best of
01:29the brightness across the far northwest but on the whole it's going to be
01:32feeling slightly chilly though temperatures are around about average
01:36for the time of year. Heading into the evening we're not going to see much
01:40change, still plenty of clouds sticking around, a few clearer spells that's where
01:45temperatures will dip away if they stick around for long enough so could still
01:48see some patchy frost particularly across the far north of Scotland, western
01:52parts of Northern Ireland too could also see a frosty start but for most once
01:57again that cloud sticking around keeping those temperatures once again just above
02:00zero for the large majority. Now for Sunday itself once again those cloudy
02:06skies sticking around the best of the brightness once again across the far
02:10northwest but on the whole it's still going to be quite a cloudy picture could
02:14also see some drizzly spots at times particularly around hills and then later
02:18on in the day across central and southeastern parts of the UK and we will
02:22once again start to see that easterly breeze just start to pick up across
02:25parts of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire for example so once again feeling a little
02:28bit chillier in those more exposed spots but once again temperatures around 7 to
02:338 Celsius so roundabout average for this time in February. That's it from me don't
02:38forget to stay updated on our YouTube channel for all your daily weather
02:41forecasts and have a lovely weekend.
