00:00Hello, after a very mild week just gone we've got a colder week ahead all to do
00:05with a cold front sinking its way southwards introducing much colder air
00:09behind and this is that cold front across northern parts of Scotland as it
00:14sinks its way southwards through Monday it'll introduce much colder air coming
00:18down from the Arctic and that transferring all the way to the south
00:21as we come to Tuesday. So for many of us we'll see the return of overnight frost
00:27and also some icy stretches. But back to the rest of this evening then so this is
00:32the cold front across northern parts of Scotland bringing some heavy spells of
00:36rain that will gradually sink its way southwards overnight into the start of
00:40Monday morning perhaps turning wintry over the highest ground. Across much of
00:45England and Wales though it's gonna be a cloudier night to come generally staying
00:49largely dry though there may be some mist and fog patches just developing
00:53underneath the clearest skies. Otherwise temperatures still generally holding up
00:58so it should be frost free but turning much colder across Orkney and Shetland
01:02to start Monday morning. It's gonna be quite breezy here to start the day as
01:08well with this outbreaks of rain just sinking its way slowly towards the south
01:13also murky across eastern areas of Haar and Seaford down this eastern coast but
01:18the rain will gradually ease as we go through the day. Cloudier skies across
01:23southern parts of England perhaps even with some outbreaks of rain but there
01:27will be some brighter interludes across the east but behind this band of
01:33cloud and rain it will be turning brighter across Scotland but turning
01:37much colder with frequent showers coming in from the north. So there's going to be
01:42a contrast in temperatures as we go through Monday holding on to some milder
01:46conditions across the south not as mild as recent days highs of up to 14 or 15
01:51degrees but in Scotland that's where temperatures will quickly fall away and
01:56we'll see highs of only around 8 to 6 degrees. So as we go through Monday
02:02evening we hold on to a lot of cloud across northern England this will
02:05gradually continue to sink its way southwards bringing some outbreaks of
02:09rain across parts of Wales and southern England but behind that plenty of clear
02:14skies developing especially across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland
02:18with frequent showers coming down that eastern coast. So it's going to be a cold
02:23night to come with a touch of frost but also some icy stretches to start
02:28Tuesday morning generally holding on to more cloud across the south so helping
02:32to keep temperatures up here. So as we start Tuesday morning then it's a bright
02:38but cold start across Northern Ireland parts of Northern England as well with
02:42the cloud gradually continuing to sink its way southward across southern parts
02:46of England behind that though it is going to be a mixture of some sunny
02:50spells but also some frequent showers especially across northern parts of
02:54Scotland again they could still be on the wintry side otherwise for all of us
02:59temperatures will be falling much much closer to average so ranging now around
03:04six to nine degrees on Tuesday. That's all from me for now though but make sure
03:10to hit subscribe so you don't miss any updates and I'll catch you soon bye bye
