00:00Hello we've got a change in store as we go into the new week with the colder air
00:05being replaced by something milder but often windy and without breaks of rain.
00:09Having a look at the bigger picture at the moment though we're still in this
00:12battleground with higher pressure towards the east low pressure out
00:15towards the west and we'll start seeing frontal system moving their way through
00:19but as we go more so Wednesday and into Thursday in particular that's where
00:24we'll start drawing milder air from the south westerly winds so actually
00:28temperatures really are going to be on the rise but look at the squeeze in the
00:32ice bars it's often going to be windy out there as well with spells of rain
00:36moving through but back to the rest of this evening and overnight there are
00:41spells of rain around especially across Northern Ireland to end the weekend
00:45this band of rain will push its way north and eastwards into parts of
00:49Western Scotland later as well and where it meets the cold air we could see some
00:54wintry flurries over the hills across much of England and Wales though it's a
00:58largely dry night to come often cloudy but we'll see some clear spells
01:02developing and in any lengthy clear skies that's where we'll see
01:06temperatures fall to give a touch of frost for some of us come Monday morning
01:10so as we go through Monday morning then there should be some brightness
01:14especially across the southeast of England out towards the west often
01:19holding on to a lot of grey skies once again but across western parts of
01:23Scotland there'll still be a few wintry flurries and some showers affecting
01:27Orkney and Shetland later but on the whole it is a largely dry Monday still
01:33going to be feeling chilly out there though especially in the east and
01:36underneath all this cloud out towards the west temperatures climbing eight or
01:40nine degrees but often breezy here too so as we go through Monday night in
01:46particular we have heavy spells of rain moving across Northern Ireland so take
01:49care during rush hour there could be spray on the roads as that moves its way
01:53north and eastwards though and meets that colder air across Scotland that's
01:56where we'll see the risk of freezing rain to give icy stretches and some snow as
02:01well so keep up to date with the forecast on that but otherwise further
02:04towards England and Wales it is a largely dry but often cloudy start to
02:10Tuesday there may be some mist and fog patches and also some frost as well but
02:15on the whole most places are staying up at around zero or one degree so as we
02:21start Tuesday morning then it's an unsettled picture across Scotland with
02:25freezing rain icy stretches and some snow and that will gradually move its
02:30way north and eastwards and actually start easing so as we go into the
02:33afternoon it should be turning a drier elsewhere across much of England and
02:38Wales hazy spells of sunshine dry across Northern Ireland too but often cloudy
02:43here but we still hold on to quite a brisk wind but otherwise temperatures
02:47are just slightly up so less cold than what we've had in recent days highs of
02:52up to 7 to 10 degrees but as we go into Wednesday and more so into Thursday
02:58that's where the temperatures will really climb so we'll start to see most
03:01of us in double digits up to 13 possibly up to 15 degrees as we go
03:07through Thursday and Friday but for more details on all of that make sure to hit
03:11subscribe on YouTube so you don't miss an update and I'll see you soon bye bye
