00:11Lancashire police are appealing for information after a teenage cycling champion tragically died after a collision with a car during a training ride.
00:20Aidan Warden, 18, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene in Darwin on Saturday morning, February 1st, despite efforts to save him.
00:30Police said the accident happened at 10.28am on Blacksnake Road, Hoddleston, Darwin.
00:37Aidan was a talented BMX rider who then moved into road racing and was the current national 25TT junior champion.
00:46He was described as being pleasant, unassuming and enthusiastic by cycling colleagues.

01:17He had a six-year lease but had an option to break after three years.
01:23He said this shop is closing at the end of March.
01:26I feel the closure of small businesses and independent shops is something that is happening all too frequently now as our town centres deteriorate.
01:35It is a massive shame for Clotheroe which now faces having no dedicated bookshop.
01:42But I have tried everything to keep the shop going and it has proved very difficult.
01:50There are a few factors in my decision including rents for shops which are increasingly too high and a significant part of the problem.
01:59Bus fare discounts for disabled and young passengers in Lancashire face the axe.
02:05A cheap peak-time bus fare for disabled passengers is set to be scrapped across much of Lancashire along with free bus passes for some of the country's young people.
02:14If approved by Lancashire County Council Cabinet this week the flat £1 per journey rate for disabled people travelling before 9.30am on weekdays will be removed.
02:27A discount is currently available to holders of the Disabled Persons Now card who can travel for free between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday at any time across the weekend and bank holidays.
