Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman said last night on ESPN he doesn't believe the Cowboys' now-vacant head coaching position is a desirable one. Do you agree with that sentiment? Former Cowboys QB and Aikman's friend Babe Laufenberg joined the K&C Masterpiece live in studio to discuss that and other things surrounding the Cowboys' coaching search.

00:00So then you have somebody that we all know and love in Troy Aikman giving a very different
00:20answer than perhaps other places.
00:23Babe, I know you're friends with Troy, but what do you think about because both feel
00:27like reasonable explanations?
00:30I would agree with you.
00:31They're both reasonable explanations.
00:32And in fairness, Scott Van Pelt asked Troy, is this a coveted job?
00:37Yeah.
00:38Troy didn't pull the word coveted out of his rear end.
00:42Sure.
00:43He was responding to coveted job.
00:45But I would agree with everything, honestly, that Troy said.
00:48But if you're looking at the job openings, I mean, I know Vrabel filled the job in New
00:56England, but you want to go to New England, you want to Dallas Cowboys, do you want to
00:59go to Jacksonville or do you want the Dallas Cowboys, do you want the New Orleans Saints
01:04or the Cowboys?
01:05I agree with you.
01:06Obviously, maybe the Bears, the Bears would be the one where you might say, yeah, you
01:12know, obviously you've got a quarterback that you can work with and develop and that appears
01:16to be headed to what they hoped he would be.
01:20But we'll see what happens there, too.
01:23As we all know, there's a lot of guys get drafted and four years later, they're on the
01:27third team.
01:28Yeah.
01:29But no, I like Caleb Williams and there's a lot to be said for, I think, Chicago going
01:35there.
01:36But hey, the Dallas Cowboys are still, you know, there's about five professional sports
01:41teams, right?
01:42There's New York Yankees, there's a Boston Celtics, the L.A. Lakers, the Dallas Cowboys.
01:49Maybe the Dodgers.
01:50Dodgers.
01:51Dodgers.
01:52Yes, Dodgers.
01:54Pretty much.
01:55Yeah.
01:56They're in the top 10.
01:57Yeah.
01:58I mean, it's and obviously they're the highest rated team.
02:00They're the most popular team.
02:02They're worth the most money of any sports franchise.
02:04So there's a lot to be said for that.
02:06But if I'm a head coach and I'm going to state my reputation on winning, they kind of haven't
02:11won big here for about 30 years, ever since really Jimmy Johnson left, because we all
02:15know Barry won with Jimmy's players.
