Indonesia resmi diterima sebagai anggota penuh blok ekonomi berkembang BRICS.

Dilansir dari AP pada Senin (6/1/2025), masuknya Indonesia sebagai anggota penuh BRICS diumunkan Brasil yang saat ini menjadi ketua blok tersebut.

Menurut Kementerian Luar Negeri Brasil, pencalonan Indonesia sebagai anggota penuh didukung para pemimpin BRICS sejak Agustus 2023. Namun, negara dengan populasi terpadat keempat di dunia tersebut memilih untuk bergabung secara resmi setelah pembentukan pemerintahan yang baru tahun lalu.
