00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has formally passed the 2025 National Budget.
00:06Bien Manalo is live in Balitang Pambansa.
00:10Bien.
00:13Good start to the administration.

00:34which became 6.326 trillion pesos
00:37from the National Expenditure Program of the Administration.
00:41The education sector is still leading
00:43in passing the largest fund
00:46with 1.053 trillion pesos,
00:49which was followed by the Department of Public Works and Highways
00:52with 1.034 trillion pesos.

01:06In his statement,
01:07President Marcos Jr. confirmed that he started the fund
01:10after he vetoed 194 billion pesos
01:13of line items that are not in line with the Administration's agenda
01:18for the next year.
01:19He also vetoed some line items of the DPWH

01:26Meanwhile, the President decided to implement
01:29under the Conditional Implementation
01:31the assistance in the Kaposkita Program or AKAP of the DSWD.
01:35This was not called for
01:36to ensure that the program will still be implemented
01:38to our poor countrymen.
01:40But the use of the fund
01:43must be safe and correct.
01:47To ensure that government assistance
01:49is not merely a provisional solution
01:52to a persistent issue,
01:54we are compelled to subject the implementation
01:57of the Ayuda sa Kapos ng Kita Program or AKAP
02:01to the convergence efforts of the DSWD,
02:04DOLE, and DEDA.
02:07This way, we ensure that its implementation
02:11will be strategic,
02:13leading to the long-term improvement
02:15of the lives of qualified beneficiaries
02:18while guarding against misuse
02:20and duplication and fragmented benefits.

03:45Meanwhile, rice retailers are starting
03:48to lower their prices.
03:51According to the Department of Agriculture,
03:53this is the result of the successful implementation
03:56of the Rice for All program
03:58presented by the President's Executive Office
04:00throughout Metro Manila.
04:01The program aims to ensure
04:03a faster distribution of rice
