00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured that the public should not be worried even if PhilHealth is a zero-subsidy.

00:07The President also assured that the Philippines' national budget for 2025 will be prioritized.

00:14Here are the details of the national news of Kenneth Paciente of BTV Manila.

00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured that the government's priority projects will be funded next year.

00:29That is the reason why the signing of the national budget for 2025 was postponed

00:36explained by the Chief Executive that it still needs to be studied well

00:40especially since there are some changes in the budget request of some government agencies.

00:44And since the national budget for 2025 is already approved by the Congress,

00:47the veto power of the Chief Executive can only be used to control the spending program of the country for 2025.

00:55I want to be very, very sure that the budget for 2025 is directed at the important projects that we have prioritized, number one.

01:07And secondly, that there is a stronger safeguards on the spending for the different projects.

01:17He also pointed out that the government should be careful on which projects and programs should be prioritized

01:23so that the Filipinos will be able to benefit from it when the country's debt is not increasing.

01:29We are starting to see some project proposals that do not have the appropriate program of work,

01:36no appropriate documentation, it is not clear where the money will go.

01:43That is what we will clarify.

01:46It's not as if we don't have a huge budget savings.

01:57No, we don't. It's not enough.

01:59That's why we need to be very careful because what we are spending is not a lot, but it's a debt.

02:07That's why we need to go to the right place so that we can pay the debt.

02:13That's what we are trying to clarify now.

02:17The President helped some government officials to discuss the funds for the next year.

02:22According to the PCO, the President will have a series of hearings on this before the 2025 budget can be signed.

02:29According to the Executive Board, it will be signed before the end of the year.

02:33As for the PhilHealth budget, the President said that even though they did not have a subsidy for the budget of the corporation for the next year,

02:41he made up for the debts of the majority and assured that the services provided by PhilHealth will not be affected.

02:49This is my guarantee. My guarantee is very simple.

02:53Even if there is a subsidy, even if there is no subsidy, even if there is a contribution, all of these issues,

02:59the services of PhilHealth will not be reduced.

03:04PhilHealth's payment to the insurance claim will not be reduced.

03:09In fact, we will increase the services provided by PhilHealth.

03:15We will increase the payment to the insurance claims.

03:21So, I would like to just assure everybody, don't worry that the services will be reduced.

03:28He also pointed out that the government plans to add more services provided by PhilHealth for the next year.

03:48The payment to the insurance claim will be even greater.

03:53So, don't worry.

03:55Nothing will be lost in the services of PhilHealth.

03:59We are making PhilHealth run better so that it can provide more to the people of the country.
