00:00Good morning from Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:04This is the weather forecast for this Sunday, December 29, 2024.
00:11There are three weather systems that are affected in our country.
00:15The North-East Monsuno Amihan in the northern part of Central Luzon.
00:20The Shirline, or the hot and cold wind that will bring a cloudy sky,
00:27particularly in the Central and Southern Luzon,
00:32including Manila,
00:34and the Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ,
00:37that is affected in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
00:41As you can see, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas inside and outside
00:46of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:48However, these three weather systems will bring a cloudy sky,
00:53particularly in the Central and Southern Luzon,
00:58as well as in the eastern part of Visayas,
01:00and some parts of Mindanao.
01:04And this is the weather forecast for this part of Luzon.
01:08We can see that there is a high chance of a cloudy sky,
01:12particularly in the Cagayan Valley Region,
01:16as well as in the Cordillera area,
01:19which is affected by the cold wind.
01:21We may experience low to moderate rainfall.
01:25Meanwhile, the sky will be cloudy,
01:27and there is a high chance of rainfall in Calabarzon,
01:32as well as in Aurora,
01:34and some parts of Bicol Region,
01:36as well as in Manila,
01:37which is affected by the Shirline.
01:40There are areas that may experience moderate up to heavy rains,
01:44and there may be sudden floods.
01:47Be careful of sudden floods and landslides,
01:52especially in the Quezon Province,
01:55and in some parts of Bicol Region,
01:57where there have been continuous rains on this day.
02:02In the southern part of Luzon,
02:04particularly in the Ilocos Region,
02:06and in the northern part of Central Luzon,
02:08we expect generally fair weather,
02:11but there may still be a cloudy sky,
02:14and isolated areas,
02:15or areas that may experience moderate rainfall,
02:17and still be affected by the cold wind.
02:20The temperature in Lauag is 23 to 30 degrees Celsius,
02:23in Tuguegarao, up to 26 degrees Celsius,
02:25in Baguio, 15 to 24 degrees Celsius,
02:28in Manila, 23 to 29 degrees Celsius,
02:31in Tagaytay, up to 27 degrees Celsius,
02:34in Legazpi, 23 to 29 degrees Celsius.
02:38And here we are in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
02:42The sky will be cloudy in Palawan,
02:45where there is a high chance of rainfalls,
02:47in the Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ.
02:50The temperature in Kalayaan Islands is 24 to 30 degrees Celsius,
02:54in Puerto Princesa, 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.
02:58It will also be cloudy,
02:59where there is a higher chance of rainfalls,
03:01especially in the eastern part of Kabisayaan,
03:04also in the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
03:06The water temperature in Iloilo is 23 to 31 degrees Celsius,
03:12in Cebu, up to 31 degrees Celsius,
03:14while in Tacloban, 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.
03:18The sky will also be cloudy,
03:20where there is a high chance of rainfalls in the Caraga region,
03:23especially in Dinagat Islands and Sorigao del Norte.
03:27And here in Zamboanga del Norte,
03:30the sky will also be cloudy,
03:32where there is a chance of rainfalls,
03:34also in the Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ.
03:36In the eastern part of Mindanao,
03:38there will be isolated rainfalls,
03:41where there is a high chance of rainfalls,

03:45The water temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius,
03:49in Cagendeoro, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius,
03:52while in Davao, 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

04:01this is what we should be aware of,
04:03in the high waves of the Caragatan,
04:05because of the strong winds,
