00:00Good morning, this is the latest weather update for the day of Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
00:07At present, the effects of the winds of Amihan or Northeast Monsoon, as well as the shearline,
00:13or the cold and hot winds that we will see here in our latest satellite animation,
00:20a large part of our country will experience a rainy season due to the effects of these two weather systems.
00:28Aside from the previous typhoon Romina, which has no effect on any part of our country,
00:35we do not monitor any other low-pressure areas or typhoons inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:42As of today, the effects of these two weather systems, the winds of Amihan, as well as the shearline,
00:49will still be rainy, especially in the southern zone as well as the eastern portions of Visayas.
00:56The winds of Amihan will also be rainy in the eastern portions of the northern and central zones.
01:02We will know later which specific provinces will experience heavy rains according to our latest weather advisory.
01:11We also expect that until Christmas, the effects of the shearline and the winds of Amihan will continue.
01:19We expect that for the next two days, we will still experience rainfall due to these weather systems.
01:27The weather will change here in the Luzon.
01:30As we mentioned earlier, a large part of the southern Luzon will experience a rainy season due to the effects of the shearline.
01:38In Mimaropa, Calabarzon, and Bicol regions, there will be a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall due to the effects of the shearline.
01:48The winds of Amihan will also be rainy in the eastern portions of the northern and central Luzon,
01:53in Cagayan Valley, in the Cordillera Administrative Region, in the provinces of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan,
02:01as well as in Metro Manila.
02:03It is possible that there will be cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfalls due to the effects of the winds of Amihan.

04:03the maximum temperature will reach 30 degrees Celsius for Iloilo, Cebu, as well as Tacloban.
04:11As for the neighboring cities here in Mindanao,
04:13the maximum temperature here in Zamboanga will reach 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:1930 degrees Celsius maximum temperature is expected in Cagayan de Oro.
04:23And as for Metro Davao, the maximum temperature will range from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

04:36for heavy rains that we expect for the next few days.
04:40According to our latest image,
04:42the areas shaded in yellow and orange may experience heavy rains.
04:49Today is December 24.
04:51The areas shaded in orange may experience heavy to intense rains
04:57and the total accumulated rainfall may reach 100 to 200 millimeters in the next 24 hours.
05:04In the provinces of Quezon, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and Northern Samar,
05:10you may experience heavy to intense rains.
05:13And the areas shaded in yellow may experience moderate to heavy rains
05:18or 50 to 100 millimeters of total accumulated rainfall in the next 24 hours.
05:24Moderate to heavy intensities are possible in Aurora, Marinduque, Romblon,
05:30the vast majority of the Bicol region, as well as the rest of the Samar provinces.
05:35So, double caution to our countrymen here in the mentioned provinces
05:39because it is possible for landslides or landslides,
05:42especially in flood-prone or hazard-prone areas.
