00:00Happy Thursday to all of us, I am Benison Estareja.

00:05The rain continues here in the western sections of Southern Luzon, Central Luzon and Visayas.

00:10Because it is still in the south or southwest monsoon,

00:13although the rain we will have is not as strong as compared to yesterday.

00:18Meanwhile, we continue to monitor the cloud clusters or pool of clouds here in the east of our country.

00:25There will be no low pressure areas in the next few days and our Philippine Area of Responsibility will enter.

00:31And if we notice, there are strong rains in the eastern portions of Caraga and Davao region.

00:37So be careful of possible flooding and landslides because of the effect of cloud clusters.

00:44Although we are not in a storm until the end of August,

00:48until the end of 2024, 6 to 10 storms are still possible based on the climatology and agrometeorology division of Pag-asa.

00:57For the month of September and October, 2 to 3 storms are possible

01:01while the month of November or December and December, 1 to 2 storms inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:10Today, because of the effect of the storm,

01:13there is still a high chance of rain in the western sections, especially in Mizambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro.

01:20So expect low to moderate rainfall.

01:23And sometimes, it gets stronger in the afternoon until the evening.

01:27So be careful of possible floods and landslides.

01:30And always follow our rainfall advisories or worst case, heavy rainfall warnings.

01:35There is also a high chance of rain in other parts of the nearby areas of Pangasinan,

01:40Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, the entire Calabarzon, and the remaining part of Mimaropa.

01:47It also has the effect of heavy rainfall.

01:49But again, we repeated that the rainfall is not as strong as yesterday.

01:53So there is a chance of heavy rainfall in the morning,

01:56and in the afternoon until the evening.

01:58Expect heavy rain and thunderstorms.

02:00But still be careful of possible floods.

02:02And make sure that we have an umbrella when we go out of the house, especially those who will return to school and work.

02:09And in the remaining part of the country, Luzon, particularly here in Bicol Region,

02:20While here in Northern Luzon, it is still partly cloudy.

02:23And sometimes, the sky is sunny in the morning until the afternoon.

02:26And then, when the afternoon comes until the evening,

02:28there is a high chance of localized thunderstorms or landslides and landslides,

02:33especially in the rest of Ilocos Region and a large part of Cordillera Region.

03:24While Central Visayas plus Eastern Visayas,

03:35Our temperature here in Metro Cebu, from 26 to 32 degrees,

03:39while in Palawan, up to 31 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

03:43To our fellow countrymen in Mindanao,

03:49over Caraga Region, Davao Region, and nearby areas in Northern Mindanao and Soksar Gen.

03:55These are localized thunderstorms, so it won't last long.

04:07Bangsamoro Region, Zamboanga Peninsula.

04:20while in some areas in the cities of Mindanao, up to 33 degrees Celsius.

04:31But then again, if we have thunderstorms,

04:33it is still possible for it to rise to two and a half meters high,

04:36especially in the areas of Mimaropa and Western Visayas.

04:42But for the rest of our country,

04:44it is still expected for it to rise to the exact height of the tides.

04:49For our weather forecast for the next four days,

04:53it is still possible for the Southwest Monsoon to rise.

05:08somewhere here in the West Philippine Sea.

05:17on the eastern side of Mindanao,

05:22or a possible circulation

05:24that will enter our Philippine area of responsibility

05:27tomorrow or on Saturday.

05:29There is a low chance that this will be a typhoon,

05:32but when it enters our par,

05:34the trough or the extension of this low-pressure area

05:37or circulation will rain on the eastern sides of our country.

05:40So over the weekend, there is a high chance of rain

05:42here in Summer Island, in the Caraga region and Davao region

05:46because of the trough of a possible low-pressure area.

05:49While there are still some areas here in Western Visayas,

05:52Negros Island region, Mimaropa, especially in Palawan,

05:55Plazamuanga Peninsula and Bangsamoro region,

05:58there is also an effect of Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

06:01So we repeat, there is a high chance of rain

06:04in the next four days here in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
