Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones joined the K&C Masterpiece before his team's matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Jones was asked about Bill Belichick becoming the head football coach at the University of North Carolina and if the NFL should be concerned about other top coaches leaving for college. Jones also discussed how important it is that his team continues to play hard over the final four weeks, as opposed to tanking for a better draft pick.

00:21It is Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones.
00:25Good morning, sir.
00:26Hey, man.
00:27Good morning.
00:28Good morning, Kevin, Corey, Mike.
00:32Happy holidays, you guys.
00:33Indeed.
00:34Thank you very much.
00:35Same to you and your family.
00:37We always get great insight from you about across the NFL stuff in addition to the Cowboys.
00:42I'm just curious, are you surprised that Bill Belichick decided to go with North Carolina
00:47and that means he'll probably never coach in the NFL again?
00:51Well, I don't really have thoughts there.
00:56I would be surprised is not the word for it.
01:00I know that his explanation has sounded very pure.
01:10There's no question he loves to coach the game.
01:14Probably there's aspects to college that I think would be interesting.
01:21We've seen several coaches, Saban, those guys that were in pro and went to college
01:29and did pretty well.
01:33It's a little makeup of responsibility.
01:35What's interesting is the changing landscape in college right now and his willingness to
01:42take on the challenges of NIL and those types of issues.
01:50This time in his career, it sounds like he's on to challenges and he's certainly up to
01:57it when it comes to coaching and as a person.
