00:00I do not want to lose you to what you may find in there.
00:04Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we've selected our picks for the most challenging boss fight
00:10from each Assassin's Creed game. Of course, there will be spoilers for every game ahead,
00:15so watch at your own discretion.
00:24Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:29the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:33Al Mualim, Assassin's Creed
00:35What could I possibly fear? Look at the power I command!
00:40The final boss of the first game isn't one of the series' most memorable. Following the shocking
00:45revelation that Al Mualim is the villain all along, he betrays both the Assassins and Templars
00:50to obtain the Apple of Eden. The fight is the most interesting in the whole game, testing
00:56everything you've learned and having you face off against your cloning mentor. It features
01:01multiple phases, broken up by philosophical monologues between the two characters. It
01:06all highlights how much Altaïr has developed throughout the game, and it makes for one of
01:11the most iconic endings in the series.
01:15Impossible! The student does not defeat the teacher!
01:20Carlo Grimaldi, Assassin's Creed II
01:22Apologies, Signore, but you should have listened to me when you had the chance.
01:28This game has its fair share of tediously challenging missions, but none stick out quite
01:34like the assassination of Carlo Grimaldi. The mission starts with you having to fly
01:39across the rooftops of Venice, using Da Vinci's magnificent flying machine. While it looks cool,
01:44it's quite painful to fly, and most players will find it takes multiple attempts to complete.
01:50When Ezio finally makes it to the rooftop of the Palazzo Ducal, taking out your target
01:55isn't particularly difficult. Grimaldi will run around the courtyard hysterically in circles,
02:00which is easy pickings for Ezio, a master assassin.
02:10Cesare Borgia, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
02:13You delude yourself, Cesare!
02:19Cesare is the primary antagonist of the game, and makes for an intense final boss fight.
02:25The final chase is one of the most beautiful moments in the series. Set during the siege
02:30of Vienna, with Cesare leading an army he hopes will help him reclaim power. The real
02:35challenge of this boss fight is the chase prior, where you're constantly swarmed with
02:39soldiers and you must dodge cannonballs and vicious flames. By the end, you fight him on
02:45the city walls, which isn't a difficult fight to win if you're confident in combat. Still,
02:50in a game of relatively few bosses, it stands out as the toughest.
03:02Ahmed, Assassin's Creed Revelations
03:04You will be the thorn in my side!
03:09Ezio's final game takes him to Constantinople, where he crosses paths with Prince Ahmed,
03:14a cunning member of the Ottoman dynasty. Like most antagonists in the series, he's a Templar,
03:20working against his family and trying to open Altair's library. After he kidnaps Sofia,
03:25Ezio must save her, in a long sequence where he is flying ridiculously behind a carriage.
03:31It's a very annoying sequence, and challenging in all the wrong ways.
03:36When you finally make it through this irritating chase, Ezio doesn't even get the final blow.
03:41Ahmed's brother Selim betrays him, casting him off a cliff in a relatively inconclusive manner.
03:52So what now, Ezio? How does this end?
03:56I am wondering that myself.
03:59Picard, Assassin's Creed 3
04:08The Battle of Bunker Hill is one of the most fun battle sequences in the game,
04:13concluding with the assassination of John Picard. Usually, he's not a difficult man to assassinate.
04:19However, if you're going for full 100% synchronization, then he's a huge challenge.
04:25You have to air assassinate him without being detected. You can't kill more than four enemies,
04:31and you need to cross the battlefield without taking any damage. It takes loads of patience
04:36to pull off, and you don't gain much if you do. Achieving complete 100% synchronization
04:43unlocks a trophy and Altair's robes, which are purely cosmetic.
04:47Why? Why did you do this?
04:50To protect Adams and Hancock and those they serve. You meant to kill them.
04:55El Impaluto, Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag
05:04There are four legendary ships in Black Flag in total, located at each corner of the map.
05:10Each one is massively difficult to beat, but El Impaluto is easily the hardest.
05:16You're going to need a fully upgraded ship to beat it, as it's got a monster health bar
05:21and some decimating weaponry. For example, its ram will take out a whole health bar in one hit.
05:28Surprisingly, you can cheese it by simply hopping across onto the ship,
05:33instead of fighting it on the waves. Then, you can simply kill everyone on board,
05:38and with no one to sail it, the ship will be easy pickings.
05:41If you'd rather fight it properly, then you're in for the game's toughest challenge.
05:46Down they go! Down to the drink! Ready to pour you, sir!
05:51Pierre Bellic, Assassin's Creed Unity
05:54Only question is, what happens now?
05:58You poisoned Mirabeau!
06:00Bellic is initially Arno's ally, inviting him into the Brotherhood early on in the game.
06:06His extremist views and willingness to eliminate anyone cause him to deviate from the Creed's goals.
06:12It's a cinematic fight, taking place in the phenomenally recreated Santee Chapel.
06:18His betrayal isn't rooted in greed, but in his stubborn belief in the Brotherhood's principles,
06:23making it emotionally impactful. Bellic is a skilled assassin,
06:27using many of the same techniques as Arno, making him a challenge to beat.
06:32It tests everything you've learned about the revamped Unity combat system,
06:36and stands out as one of the most well-written moments in the title.
06:40The Storm Fortress, Assassin's Creed Rogue
06:43Rogue increased the number of legendary ships to seven, and the Storm Fortress is undoubtedly
06:51the hardest. It's heavily armored, and equipped with devastating cannons and mortars.
06:56These include a powerful broadside, and a mortar that sets its victims on fire.
07:03This will test everything you've learned about the naval combat mechanics,
07:07challenging both your offense and defense. The stormy backdrop also adds to the difficulty,
07:13making it difficult to see and navigate. It gets even harder when you're low on health,
07:19and it's hard to see and navigate. The Storm Fortress is a great example of this.
07:24It's a game where you have to fight your way through the battlefield,
07:28and navigate. It gets even harder when you're low on health,
07:32since two more Man of Wars decide to join in, the Argonaut and the Scepter.
07:43Jack the Ripper, Assassin's Creed Syndicate
07:52In the Syndicate DLC, Eevee must take on Jack the Ripper,
07:55Victorian London's most notorious serial killer. This DLC is a particularly dark chapter in the
08:02series, deviating from its traditional Templar versus Assassin's formula, and concluding with
08:07an iconic fight. The final confrontation takes place in a haunting asylum, and Eevee facing
08:13him off in a harrowing underground arena. Stealth is essential to kill him, making for a fun fight,
08:20since Syndicate has some of the best stealth in the series. It's substantially more fun than the
08:25game's actual final boss, Crawford, one of the silliest fights in the game.
08:39Katash and Resev, Assassin's Creed Origins
08:43There are a few war elephants available to fight in Origins, but the toughest is the duo of Katash
08:48and Resev. Unlike most animal encounters, they're not mindless beasts. They're fully-armed war
08:54machines with riders mounted on top, who will consistently be poking Bayek with arrows and bombs.
09:00They're a monstrous pair, who force you to be completely mobile to achieve victory.
09:05It's a massive deviation from the standard Assassin's Creed, but it's still fun to watch.
09:13Boss fights, where you need to sneakily assassinate a Templar from the shadows.
09:17Stealth is completely useless here. Victory will only be acquired through pure strength.
09:28Medusa, Assassin's Creed Odyssey
09:30There's a plethora of mythological figures in Odyssey, such as Hermes, Hades, Poseidon,
09:46and Medusa. She's the game's hardest mythological opponent, so don't try and fight her without the
09:51highest-level gear you can get your hands on. Medusa is a level 50 boss, and will throw powerful
09:58level 50 mercenaries at you. Additionally, her attacks are super strong, with her constantly
10:04spamming laser beams at you, coming from not just her eyes, but also rain from the skies.
10:10To beat her, you'll have to strike the perfect balance between aggression and defense,
10:14pivoting between flurries of attacks, and then hiding behind the pillars.
10:29Balor, Assassin's Creed Valhalla
10:37The Wrath of the Druids expansion takes players to Ireland, where they'll eventually have to
10:42face off against Balor, a beast from Irish mythology. He's a giant, and the game's most
10:48formidable opponent. The fight takes place in a rainy arena, surrounded by fire, making it just
10:54as cinematic as it is challenging. He has a wide variety of attacks, like a teleport which lets
11:00him immediately close the distance between you. His sword is almost as tall as himself,
11:05with a ridiculous amount of reach, pushing Eivor to bring his A-game. With his immense
11:10health pool and devastating attacks, it's no surprise he's the toughest in Valhalla.
11:15Roshan, Assassin's Creed Mirage
11:29Mirage is a relatively short game compared to the trilogy that came before it,
11:34and only really has one proper boss in it, the final boss, Roshan. She was Bossom's teacher
11:40until later on in the game, when they find themselves opposed to one another.
11:44Compared to other entries on this list, it's not too challenging of a fight, but it is an
11:50emotional moment, since she's aware of what Bossom will awaken if he enters the Isu Temple beneath
11:55Alamut's castle. If the player has mastered the combat by now, then they'll make short work of
12:01Roshan, and Bossom realizes he's Loki reincarnated, a twist anyone who finished Valhalla will already
12:08know, which could be how Roshan found out. Which boss did you struggle with the most?
