00:00Speaking of Ward Manuel, who is the chair of the committee, here it is.
00:07I know you've been waiting for it.
00:08This is him explaining why Alabama is ahead of Miami and in that last spot instead of
00:14them.
00:15This is from ESPN last night.
00:16What it came down to is that we evaluated both teams and looked at how they rank.
00:22Obviously we think highly of both teams, one's at 11, one's at 12, but what it really came
00:27down to is Alabama is 3-1 against current top 25 teams and Miami is 0-1.
00:36Alabama is 6-1 against teams above 500 and Miami is 4-2.
00:42Both have had some losses that weren't what they wanted out of those games, but in the
00:49last three games Miami has lost two twice.
00:55And so for us, in evaluating their body of work, we felt that Alabama got the edge over
01:02Miami.
01:03Well the body of work is complete for Alabama, for Miami, for Ole Miss, for South Carolina.
01:08There's one more ranking to do.
01:10Well where's Reese?
01:11What could change?
01:12Could it change?
01:13Is it set?
01:14Yes, it could change.
01:17It all depends on the outcome of these games.
01:19Oh, he's so full of his jack, this guy.
01:22I mean, whatever.
01:24I'm done.
01:25I'm done with it.
01:26I don't even want to talk about it anymore.
01:28I'm going to have a stroke.
01:34It can make you very upset, especially if one of your teams is involved, and even if
01:37it's not one of your teams.
01:38Of all things, this year it came down to my team is taking it in the arse.
01:44At the end of the day, Cam Ward was a Heisman finalist.
01:48The Miami offense is awesome.
01:51Alabama can lose by 21 at Oklahoma, but they don't even evaluate that at all.
01:55It's like a bad day that didn't count.
01:57It's like saying yesterday didn't happen.
02:00Monday and Tuesday didn't count because Wednesday was so beautiful.
02:04It's just the most ridiculous reasoning I've ever listened to.
02:08And then at the end of the day, the five-time national champs get just shafted because they
02:14lost by five and lost by four to really good teams and really good quarterbacks.
02:18I evaluate things based on losses, not on wins.
02:23Not on wins.
02:24Like I even said, they barely beat Cal, they came back from 35 down, so they don't deserve
02:29anything.
02:30I told you they didn't deserve to be in the playoff.
02:31It's not that, it's who they put in instead.
02:35They put in everyone's favorite puppy, the cute little adorable Alabama Crimson Tide,
02:40no matter what.
02:41Honest to Christ, they could effing lose seven games and they would still be in this goddamn
02:46playoff.
02:47And you know it.
02:48They would still be in the playoff if they lost seven games.
02:51They'd find a way to get them in.
02:53They'd find a way.
02:55It's unbelievable.
