00:00And then you started to get a sense on Tuesday as we show you these rankings here.
00:08There wasn't all that many changes.
00:10I mean, we did see Georgia lose, so they plummeted.
00:13Miami lost.
00:15They plummeted.
00:16One of the five remaining unbeatens entering Week 11.
00:19Miami did fall by five spots, and we saw Indiana move up into the top five.
00:24Penn State somehow some way with a loss, and Indiana does not have one still in front of
00:30IU.
00:31BYU up by a few spots.
00:34I said not many changes.
00:36What I meant to say was expected movement based on game results.
00:40We'll talk about game results in just a moment as well.
00:44Perhaps the biggest move, Georgia getting absolutely beat bad in Oxford by Ole Miss,
00:51falling nine spots.
00:52One spot behind the running rebs who moved up by five positions from 16 to number 11.
01:00And again, all of this is important because it's not just the rankings 1-12 or 1-15.
01:07Based on where things are slotted right now, you do see the projected bracket.
01:12So let's show you what that projected bracket would look like.
01:15Oregon is the number one team.
01:17They have the best college football playoff price.
01:20They are the champions currently of the Big Ten in this projected outlook.
01:24They still are co-favorites or around the same price as Ohio State in the conference
01:28odds, and yet they had the head-to-head tiebreaker.
01:31So they get that nod.
01:32Texas, highest ranked team in the SEC.
01:34They earned the opening round by BYU still unbeaten, despite what the oddsmakers might
01:39tell you about the Cougars.
01:41Highest ranked team in the Big 12 in Miami, despite losing and not being undefeated anymore
01:48in the ACC, which SMU is still the highest ranked ACC team at this moment and would earn
01:56that opening round by.
01:57And because Miami fell back in the way that they did, and we had some other movement,
02:03Georgia plummeting by nine spots, Boise State fell back by a spot as well, ranked in the
02:09original top 11 in week one of the CFP rankings, now at number 13, which complicates the process
02:17a little bit.
02:18As we show you those projected opening round on-campus games, and again, the rankings numbers
02:24different from your seed line in a projected bracket.
02:28Ohio State is number two in the country and yet would be the five seed, the highest at-large
02:32team in a projected college football playoff.
02:36Boise State would still be the fifth highest ranked conference champ and would be in that
02:415-12 game, and yet they're ranked 13th.
02:45The other at-large bids look as so, Penn State and Indiana for the top five, Big 10 teams.
02:52They are in those spots hosting college football playoff games.
02:56Penn State would be the sixth seed, Indiana would be the seventh seed, despite their rankings,
03:02and Tennessee would actually be the eighth seed hosting Notre Dame as the Vols are in
03:06front of the Irish.
03:09Indiana and Bloomington hosting Alabama in a college football playoff game, and now Ole
03:13Miss into that 11th spot, both in ranking and in seed line.
03:18So then the conjecture followed the actual rankings.
03:22Well, look at the strength of schedule for Indiana.
03:26It's at 100.
03:27Yeah, they've been whooping everybody.
03:29The only game they barely won was against Michigan, the reigning national champs, who
03:34do not look like that, I understand, but still, Indiana's been blasting everybody.
03:39You want to get mad at strength of schedule?
03:41Look at Miami and Penn State, who do not have those marquee wins, by the way, Miami
03:46did beat Louisville.
03:48Where is it for Penn State, who lost to Ohio State?
03:51So here is my final point, because I think this is going to be very important, as Georgia
03:56would be on the outside of the college football playoff right now looking in, and other SEC
04:02teams, like A&M and LSU, you will hear from people, well, look how difficult the SEC strength
04:09of schedule is.
04:10Yeah, part of that is perceived bias in early season rankings that bolster a Missouri team
04:16that has zero reason to be ranked still at number 23, or the fact LSU has looked awful
04:22and remains in the top 25.
04:26Losses matter.
04:28Wins matter more than losses.
04:31Even if you look okay in a loss against a decent team, you lost the football game.
04:38Losses matter.
04:39Wins will always be supreme.
04:41Remember that as you look at the college football playoff break.
