00:00Let me start with the SEC, I suppose, because you gave me the whole breakdown last week
00:08about all the two-loss teams and everything.
00:10Well, now I've got three-loss teams, Bill, in Alabama and Ole Miss.
00:14Have we completely dismissed the three-loss teams, or do we have scenarios where, specifically
00:20Alabama, they could sneak in the back door?
00:24Yeah, I think they're the interesting one, because they always go to the front of the
00:28line no matter how many losses they have.
00:31They were the first one-loss team, the first two-loss team, and now here they are, the
00:36first three-loss team.
00:38And it was a bad weekend, though.
00:40It was really bad for them, how they looked.
00:43It wasn't just the loss to Oklahoma, it was not being able to complete a pass, looking
00:47overwhelmed on the offensive side.
00:49I don't know that they're deserving even if somebody does lose.
00:52Like, here's one of the complicated discussions we're going to have.
00:56What if – are you taking a three-loss Alabama over the two-loss loser of the ACC championship
01:04game?
01:05To me, like, SMU deserves an at-large bid more than Alabama at that point.
01:11We were just having this discussion, like, ten minutes ago here, me and Joe were having
01:15the same talk.
01:16Like, SMU and Miami obviously have to – well, Miami definitely has to, because if they lose,
01:22Clemson's going to walk through the door.
01:24But if SMU takes care of business against Cal, and they stay with one loss going into
01:29that game, and Miami and SMU play a great game, fun, competitive, both teams look deserving,
01:37I think they should both be in, Bill.
01:41And I know that people want SEC, and it's the big brands, and it's the big numbers and
01:47all of those things, but I don't know if you can squeeze Indiana and the loser of that
01:53game, but maybe we can.
01:55Why not?
01:56We got 12 now, Bill.
01:57Can we squeeze both in?
01:58Well, I think we will squeeze Indiana in, despite what happened in Columbus, which you
02:03and I talked about, where Indiana's not in Ohio State's zip code.
02:08We saw that on the field.
02:10But to compare them against Ohio State, right now, Ohio State looks like one of the two
02:13best teams in the country.
02:14I'll get to the other one here in a minute.
02:16But Indiana still deserves to be in.
02:21By the end of the day, they were looking a lot better once Ole Miss lost at Florida,
02:26Texas A&M took their loss, and now the SEC, the masters of spin, there's a chance they
02:32may have to spin an SEC championship game with a three-loss Texas A&M if they beat Texas,
02:38and a three-loss Georgia if Georgia Tech somehow beats them.
02:41Can you imagine the things we would hear in the week leading up to that game in Atlanta
02:45if that happens?
02:46I don't think it will, but it's fun to think about.
